  1. Yes. I did it in October. You can load your player's bank with any funding source from your S&S. Carnival doesn't care what the source is, as long as the money is there.

Just load your player's bank from your S&S at a slot machine. Load the money to the slot machine and take a pull or two. (this is a step that a few people forget to take). Load the money back to your player's bank. Go to the cashier and cash out.

    Thank you!

  2. Does anyone know what the limit is to purchase cards within so many days? thanks I just bought $500 this am to purchase my husbands cheers I was smart and put my son in his room but when we get to guest services I will get a room key only!

Unless it's changed recently it's 5 cards (ex. 5-$100 cards or 3-$100 & 2-$500 cads) in about a 24 hour window give or take a few hours

  3. For those who have decided to purchase the $500 gift card and receive via regular mail, is a signature required upon delivery? I know with AARP it is but wasn't sure with Allstate.

Yes. You must sign for any that total over the amount of $500.

I have purchased many from Allstate and have had them mailed to me. it's the same as Verizon and AARP

  4. They won't let you move it I tried to do that on a cruise I booked and I was not even trying to get it to switch rooms I just wanted all the OBC on myself instead of my friend since I was the one who paid for the cruise to begin with

We had the opposite experience. On our last cruise we called Carnival and asked that all the OBC ($50) for that cabin be moved to just one of the guests (2 people booked) in the cabin. It was moved with out any problems. We had 2 friends sharing a cabin on the same cruise and 1 of them paid more then the other. So she called and had 75% of there $200 OBC moved to her account. Again no issues.

So I'm thinking you may just have to call Carnival back and talk to someone else...

  5. I also have a balance of $80 on one of my Carnival gift cards. Do you know if I can apply it to my account online? Or do I have to wait until I get on the ship? I would like to use it for specialty dining on the ship.

Unfortunitly you can't add it to you sign & sail card until your onboard.

  6. In the big AARP thread a few weeks ago, someone said they were able to get four $500 cards and eight $100 cards that day. I remember it because I had just signed up a week prior and was able to buy a couple cards for the first time. I couldn't believe someone had just dropped $2,800 on gift cards. Take it with a grain of salt, I suppose, but if it's true, they far exceeded the limit you were told. Maybe they used more than one credit card to make the purchase, maybe it's a new policy, or maybe it depends on which customer service rep. you speak to.

    Here's their post:

Most likely they have either a few AARP accounts (ex. family members or friends) or they used Verizon and AARP to get what the total they needed.

As for as dropping $2800 on gift cards that's not uncommon at all when it comes to Carnival gift cards.. Several of us on these threads purchase Carnival gift cards every single time there available on AARP and Verizon whether we need them or not and just have a healthy stash of them. As long as your a cruiser you know you will use them at some point.

  7. Once your order & pay, click the "account" tab at the top of allstaterewards.com - there will be a link in there to the gift cards right away. Or, at least there was for me. It took me a couple of orders to figure that out! :)

Yep your correct... I have purchased numerous times from Allstate and each time I place an order I immediately click on my account and I see the purchase and the link to the gift card instantly.

Just placed an order and it was there as soon as I clicked on my account!

  8. AARP and Verizon will occasionally resell some gift cards when orders fall through (credit card decline or buyer didn't answer phone or email when they tried to contact them). I know a few people have posted that they lost there orders from last week. So I'm guessing those few were made available today.

  9. We had the same thing happen to us for our next cruise. We ended up sending 4 separate emails and never received a response. Ended up calling our PVP and telling him the issue. We received an email the next day verify our reservation. Oddly we also have 3 other cabins that are booked on the cruise with us all received a response within 48 hours of their initial reservations...
