Hi Everyone!!

I know this may seem childish but I would like to be able to do a door sign for our room. This is my sisters VERY first time away from her family EVER, so....

Can someone help me? I tried to copy and paste the one they offer and I could'nt get it to open in paint for me to alter it as it is in Adobe and paint wont open it.

Any suggestions or help that any one may give is greatly appreciated!! (Maybe someone else might want these too??)

I liked your way of booking, but I was able to get a cheaper rate by just asking for a day room. If the hotel did'nt have day rooms your idea would have worked as long as we could guarantee a late check out!! :) I will keep your idea in mind for the future!!

Asking on another thread actually got me many different answers and I did it on purpose !:p

This is what we came up with:

Opted for the day room, 11:00 am to 5 pm. Cost $38.50, free shuttle from cruise to hotel, free shuttle to airport! They have a room for us, pool and hot shower. We can leave our luggage, site see in the area if we care too, have lunch, swim, take a nap and shower!

Works for us! I am a little leary of driving a rental car around Tampa with all the construction etc when I don't know my way around! ( it was way more expensive and time intensive for the car )!

Everyone does what works for them, and this works for us!

Thanks everyone for their input! Got a lot of good ideas here & from others, weighed all the options and decided on this!

After our trip we will come back on and tell u all how it worked out!!

We are coming to Tampa for a cruise and we leave the ship in the morning...our return flight is not till 7:30 pm that evening.

Is there such a thing as a "day room" at a hotel to keep our luggage,and may be site see a bit, then take a nap before we go to the airport??

It just seems such a long time to tote our luggage and try to enjoy our last day on vacation! Any ideas??

What a trip from the flying luggage out of the truck...to u missing the ship...almost like bad Karma....like us...

everytime we go on vacation it RAINS, I mean rains buckets and buckets...so by now everyone that knows us says "WERE NOT GOING WITH U, AS IT RAINS ALL THE TIME!!" :eek:

SO GLAD IT TURNED OUT WELL AND U FINISHED YOUR STORY AND thankyou :D FOR THE INFO AS WE WILL NOW DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY! :D

We had an incident at one point in traveling, that happened to us!!

We accidentally left a piece of luggage at the airport in Cancun. Long story short it WAS our fault....we had 11 pieces for 6 people and counted wrong!!

So with the security process at that time, post 911, MY husband had to go get it, they told us, wouldn't send it or provide for it to get to us...!! :mad:

So off to the airport by taxis both ways......to find the office where the luggage was & it was closed when he got there!! U would think he could find someone to get it for him, but with the language barrier, and I guess people saying they couldnt help him , he came back to the resort with out the luggage!! :( What a mess.. :(

So long story short he found a bus ( cheaper) went again to find the office open that time and got his luggage the NEXT day!!

2 whole days of wasted vacation for luggage! But u do what u need to and he finally got his clothes!! :D

I know it sounds crazy, but Sh...happens and he really did need his under ware, and with all that is happening u get caught up in the moment and u do what u think u need to do to resolve the situation...

Looking back at it I can think of a few things differently that we could have done...but hind site is what it is...and this did not involve our SAFETY so ....Live and Learn!! Go with the flow!!

We laugh at it now...but then it was a BIG deal !

Everyone has STUFF that happens and it is what it is and at least we all CAN learn from each other!! :o
