  1. On all cruises we always take Lysol wipes to wipe down door handles, faucet/sink, remote etc- several times a day- especially after room attendant leaves. We take vitamins etc., use knuckle to push elevator button--- and constantly wash hands. On our recent Harmony cruise, our room attendant told us he had a cold- day before cruise was over. Well... I guess his germs were all over the room, even though I wipe down everything as a precaution. A few days after we got home, my husband and I both got sick with upper respiratory infections/ bronchitis. I assume we picked up the germs on the ship. For future reference my question is.... if you realize your room attendant is ill, can you request a different attendant? Is this done????

  2. I bought "wine skins" at Total Wine to safely carry my wine bottles in. They say they're not reusable, but we've used them 3 times. They're the shape of wine bottles, made out of bubble

wrap - only a bit larger. I paid about $5 for two. Packed the bottles in my backpack.

  3. Yes, I think renting a car would be the easiest way to get to Sanford. But, I'm not sure you'll have enough time to do any sightseeing along the way even. If you get off the ship at 9, it'll take 3-4 hours to get to Sanford(about 250 miles from port-stopping at rest stops, lunch). You're only talking about an hour of free time. Not sure if it's worth the stress to do some sightseeing along the way.

  4. Thinking of booking a family room(2 adults, 3 children) on the Breakaway- Deck 5- room 5772 across from the Medical Center. My concern is how noisy can it get-will we hear moaning and groaning etc, nevermind all the "germs" in that area. I guess it's hard to find a room that will fit 5 people, other than booking 2 connecting rooms. Thanks for your input!
