1. Confused:

    Suites----------------------

I thought they were eligible for the concierge loungs?????

News to me that they were not.

    I hope this isn't so....................

    Sea Ya

A little different on the Oasis since there is a suite lounge dedicated to suite guests...so generally speaking yes suites have access to CL, but on Oasis they are using the suite lounge.

  2. Any word on when Izumi will open?

Currently doing back to back cruises on Oasis...we boarded 11/15...and Izumi opened back up last week...we ate there last Thursday and were able to sit at a teppanyaki table. Meal was very good and the filet cooked hibachi style was delicious. They have two fixed price hibachi options $20 or 25 pp depending on whether you do a single item or combo (we had filet and shrimp)...also included is edamame, miso soup or salad and they make you fried rice and hibachi vegetables. Our chef it was only his second night cooking at Izumi and he was nervous but still did a great job. Overall ambiance in the restaurant is very nice with sushi restaurant on one side and the 3 teppanyaki tables seating 8 people each on the other. When you make reservations be sure to specify teppanyaki if that is what you want! We could not book online before the cruise or over the stateroom TV once on and Izumi being open is not currently advertised in the cruise compass...assuming last week and this are their soft opening. CL Concierge made us our reservations. Hope this helps!

  3.
That's true on most of the ships. The Oasis is in transition, and they keep tweaking policies.
Currently still sailing on Oasis and can confirm right now (and assume until it closes Feb to transition into Wonderland) CL is reserved for D+ and Pinnacle use only. Suites and Pinnacles have the suite lounge and Diamonds, D+ and Pinnacle have the Diamond Lounge. Yes, this is a little different than the other ships in the fleet but Oasis has a unique lounge configuration right now in comparison to the other Royal ships.

Moral of the story, if having CL access is important to you as a D+, you might not want to cruise on Oasis (or Allure) once they finalize their transition to Dynamic Dining and remove the CL...
  4. Just off the Oasis this morning. I'm Diamond and we were in a suite. We were welcome in the Suite Lounge & Coastal Kitchen and the new Diamond Lounge on Deck 4, but we weren't eligible for the CL even though we were in a suite. Currently on Oasis, the lounges are as follows:

Diamond Lounge -- Diamond, Diamond +, and Pinnacle -- Continental breakfast, evening snacks and drinks.

Concierge Lounge -- Diamond + and Pinnacle -- Continental breakfast, light lunch (sandwiches, fruit), evening snacks and drinks.

Suite Lounge -- Suites and Pinnacle -- Continental breakfast, buffet lunch, evening snacks, drinks 11:00 am - 11:30 pm.

Coastal Kitchen -- Suites and Pinnacle -- A la Carte restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Drinks from the suite lounge bar are currently included. They also have a by-the-bottle wine list available to purchase, and will allow you to order wine by the glass from other restaurants.

I think the Suite Lounge and Coastal Kitchen will both evolve a lot over the next few weeks/months. They were constantly asking for feedback, and several people mentioned it wasn't the finished product.

Rami said the Concierge Lounge is only open temporarily. It will close for good at the end of January/beginning of February when they start the conversion of the Deck 11 CL to Wonderland. He also said this will be the configuration on the Quantum class and the Oasis class, including Oasis 3 which will have a purpose-built Suite Lounge and Coastal Kitchen. The rest of the fleet will keep the current configuration with a CL and a DL.

Currently still sailing on Oasis and can confirm this information posted by Cindy is accurate. While the doors on the Diamond Lounge on Deck 4 have been broken (card reader issue) they are working to fix that.

Once CL closes to transform into Wonderland D+ will have to use this Diamond Lounge on Deck 4 and of course also have access to the 3 drink vouchers loaded on seapass good for a certain selection of drinks in bars across the ship evenings during normal cocktail hours 5 - 8 PM. "Diamond Concierge" just refers to the guest services staff member that performs concierge services in the Diamond Lounge.

  5. We really appreciate the latest info on the D+ lounge. Is there any way you can find out when they will be closing it and everyone will be herded into the Diamond Lounge?? This will be our first cruise as D+ and can't believe we reached this just as it is changing. I don't know if they will continue the special breakfast and lunch for D+We will be sailing on Oasis on 11/29.

Thank you, thank you, thank you in advance for your good work!! Enjoy!!

We are doing B2B on the Oasis and will be getting off on 11/29 but can confirm for you that the CL will be open for your cruise when you are on later this month! Closing down to transform into Wonderland Feb 2015. Enjoy your cruise!!!

  6. On the Oasis now. Suite lounge bar is open from 11:30 am till 11:00 pm. Coastal Kitchen open from 6-9:30. Ishtar lunch in lounge with continental breakfast. Not sure about beer and wine in the CL for lunch. Will try to find out for you

Been sailing on Oasis since 11/15 and taking advantage of the CL as a D+ member. Service has been excellent and the CL has never been crowded...there was a letter in our stateroom upon embarkation advertising the CL availability as a D+ benefit and confirming its morning AM and PM hours with Israel the Concierge on duty there this and next week.

I can confirm that in addition to the normal morning continental breakfast and evening cocktail hour that the CL is open from 12 - 2 PM right now offering self-serve sandwiches, cookies and fruit and that there is waiter service for beer, wine or soda if desired.

If you are on Oasis in the near future (at least before the CL closes to undergo into transformation to Wonderland) and have access to the CL, I think you will enjoy their current level of service even if it is a bit different than past offerings on the Oasis class. Have not checked out the new Diamond Lounge but am assuming it is far more crowded than what we have been experiencing in the CL and we are not in a suite this time so do not have any info on the SL.

  7. I don't think drinks are served in the CL lounge from 11:30 to 8:30, only the Suites Lounge.

BTW, taking a drink out of the CL "for the road" has not been a problem and has even been facilitated/encouraged by the bar waiters on duty.

  8. I'm sorry to have to tell you that my best guess about this was WRONG! :(

There is only continental breakfast in the deck 11 concierge lounge and snacks at lunch time. There is no more cooked food and no beer or wine either in the CL.

The cooked to order breakfast and lunch is considered a suite perk and therefore is only available on deck 17 for suites and pinnacle club members.

This is the current information as of this week. I know this is a disappointment for many.

Thanks so much for providing this information. While it is disappointing to hear, at least I know now, and we can plan accordingly.

  9. The info is from a concierge on board. I don't want to annoy him with little questions here and there since he needs to be tending to his current guests, not past and future guest me. :)

But the other info I supplied is accurate.

No problem. Looking forward to an upcoming B2B on Oasis starting 11/15 and part of the attraction was the CL which we experienced on the Allure in May. So was just trying to determine if they were back to normal/usual service now that it has reopened on Oasis.

I am sure your info is accurate...given all the misinformation that has plagued this thread it's nice to read some posts grounded in fact.

    Thanks!!!

  10. I'm trying to find out. I don't know if I'll know anytime soon. My best guess would be yes as I believe it's business as usual aside from the concierge rotations and the construction on board. People will be back from this cruise next Monday and reports will likely come in.

    Be patient.

Sorry...thought you were on the cruise reporting back on these things. Thanks!

  11. As for now, all 3 lounges are open on Oasis. There are still only 2 concierges rotating on a two week schedule between the deck 11 concierge lounge and the deck 17 suite lounge. Those two are Rami and Israel. In the diamond lounge is Edgardo.

Are they still serving a la carte breakfast and lunch in the CL?
