Hi  Cruisers, 

We were on this cruise and really disappointed that they ran out of red wine on the second to third day.  The only red wine offered was Chanti.  My wife really looks forward to a glass or two of Pinot Noir for dinner.  While the wine list was long it does no good if non are available.  The service in Cagney’s was rude and condescending.  It seemed to us that the service around the ship was very reserved and not really friendly. I did mention to NCL my concerns but as of this morning they have not responded.  Cabin was clean,  food was good and entertainment was very good.  Embarkation and Debarkation was excellent.

We just got off the Breakaway (27 March).  The ship ran out of red wine by the third day.  The only red wine on the menu offered was Chanti.  Service was very bad in Cagney’s.  Don’t see how a ship runs out of red wine.

Same with us.  We had our cruise out of Southampton canceled.  Took the 125% and tried to rebook the same cruise a year later.  Price jumped hundreds of dollars over the 125% plus loss of two perks.  Should have taken the refund and shopped around for another cruise.  Celebrity needs to rethink its policy to get loyal cruisers back.  We are elite but Norwegian is looking attractive at this point.

Our cruise was canceled.  Rather than refund we chose to take a credit and book the same cruise a year later.  Celebrity raised the rates that exceeded the125% plus deleted 2 perks.  The new cruise was hundreds more.  Nothing changed.  So be careful.  Maybe a refund is the way to go.  We are loyal elite cruisers and want to support Celebrity but seems it may be one sided.

196. 30 August Getaway

1 Dec 2019 Holiday cruise out of NOLA!  Santa is coming to town.

We have booked this cruise the first of April 2020.  I tried to purchase excursions and beverage package for my spouse and myself.

Celebrity will not except any purchases for this cruise.  I talked directly (after several lenghly tries) to Celebrity and they directly refused.  Said maybe later. 

Anyone have ave this type of problem?  I am a loyal Celebrity and this doesn’t sound like Celebrity.

We are booked on a cruise out of Dubai April 2020.  Celebrity will not let me purchase beverage package or excursions.  Anyone else have this problem?

We did Alaska on Millie and loved the cruise. We were mid ship in Aqua on deck 9. No problems. I would do the same anytime.

We did the 4day land tour and 7 night cruise on Millie a couple years back. We really enjoyed the cruise and Millie was fantastic. Outland tour was not so. Denali hotel very poor. In all I would recommend the cruise on Millie at any time. Just don’t set your expectations to high if you choose the land tour.

We cruised on the Sun out of Cape Canaveral recently and really enjoyed the ship. Open bar, decent entertainment and good food. Terminal for embarkation and debarkation was a Breeze. Recommend the Sun in this case.

We are big fans of celebrity. We did sail NCL out of cape canaveral to Cuba and really enjoyed the cruise. In my opinion Celebrity caters to the over 50 traveler.

We really like cruising on Celebrity. We prefer to book Aqua class and eating in the Blu restaurant. This is just our choice. Some others prefer suites, some prefer OV and others prefer Balcony cabins. Celebrity, in my opinion, seems to cater to an older crowd. We also are in our 70’s. Aqua class is a balcony cabin with access to the Persian Gardens (spa) and the Blu Restaurant. There is an additional charge for Aqua vs a regular cabin. Hope this helps a little.

We did the Asia cruise last October. We took the Angkor Wat excursion and totally loved the trip. Recommend the excursion. Some travelers take a tour from Singapore while others take the cruise excursion. Either way GO!

Latitudes is NCL and Captains Club is Celebrity. I was asking about Celebrity. Thanks anyway for the response.

If you get an upgrade do you also get the additional Captain Club tier points? I.e. Aqua 5 points a night vs Celebrity Suite 12 points a night.

St Lucia, Rhodes Greece, Dubai, Tanin Estonia. All are great but Rhodes is special.

Make sure you go to historic Raffles and have a Singapore Sling! The long bar is great. A lot of history in this place. Enjoy!

We stayed at the Crown Plaza about 4-5 blocks from the Palace. Great hotel at a reasonable cost. We then arrange a private taxi to the cruise ship at Southampton. Taxi was reasonable and door to door. Good sailing and enjoy.

May have a problem. Show is a little over one and a half hours and probably a 30 minute drive to the port. Then you have to go through Cuban security and customs. Don’t know. If it is a ship excursion they will hold the ship for you.

No. I am a non smoker and I didn’t notice a lot of smoke. Great show!

We were in 1207, Deck 11. No noise at all from pool or anything else. Great location.
