  1. I read a mazatlan news article that said we had 2702 passengers and 1458 crew on the 8/21 sailing,  so 2500 seems possible for the second sailing.

I felt bad for the hundreds standing in line outside when I finally debarked around 1pm.

I texted this picture at 9:52 and it took  2 hours to get clearance from that point.

  2. Captain just informed us that they will be arriving late in Long Beach. He said expected arrival time is 10:30am.

There is some type of issue that doesn’t allow them to to reach max speed. Cabo port time was also cut. We will be leaving at 2pm - last water shuttle at 1pm.

Am staying at Hotel Maya in November for my Radiance cruise How is it?

I enjoyed Hotel Maya for the 14 hours I was there. The parking deal (promo code p41) was good. The lot was pretty full when I came in friday night due to a private party on premises. The cruise parking is an outdoor lot mixed in with with all other hotel guests. At check in they gave me a card to put in my window with dates valid for 2 weeks. Its a doubletree, so they also gave me

two warm chocolate chip cookies. I stopped for a beer and a quesadilla at the El Fuego Restaurant before going to bed and it was good. The bed was comfortable and I had a water view balcony room.  I walked down to the port on The walking path andit was easy to get too.

  4. I cruise Saturday and I ended up having two rapid test appointments at two different CVS locations cancelled before I settled on a PCR test at a neighborhood Walmart (via Quest Diagnostics).  I was worried about the PCR test taking too long, but in my area they say 24 hour turn around.  I went on Wednesday at 11:30 and had the result in my email Thursday morning at 10am.

Cabo on my planner says we leave port at 3:00 pm.  Last tender is around 1:30.

I hate they changed it.  I like Cabo first for the longer port stop.

5:45 was under my Cabo but that is the time for my time dining.  Mazatlan is 6:00, PV is 8:00.  You have to look at every stop.  5:45 was on all of mine as that is the my time dining time.

Shoot. I guess I did read it wrong. It says Cabo departs port at 3pm 💁🙃

  7. NCL Bliss "night club" question. Besides spice where is the nightclub on the bliss?

  8. We had aft penthouse on the Jewel in Alaska (out of Seattle) last year. Loved it! So sheltered in the back of the ship, we spent an inordinate amount of time on the balcony.

We followed the Haven signs for check in at port of Seattle. Butler escorted us up to Moderno for lunch. Breakfast and lunch in Moderno was included for the whole cruise. We were invited to party in Haven one night and for a glacier viewing party on top of ship.

  10. I sailed the Jewel last September and they spotted my little 3 plug extension cord and port security in Seattle told me they were allowing no adaptors on board. Mine did not have a surge protector on it. They did give me a claim ticket to pick it up at end of cruise.

  11. While I haven’t sailed this specific ship, I was able to work and cruise ok. I access my work via vpn and it worked fine. however, I admit I spent a couple of hours each day we were in port linked up to my iPhone as a hotspot, because the wireless over iPhone was quicker than the ship WiFi.

  12. It wouldn't be so bad if you had longer times in port. It took 30 minutes to an hour to get off ship if you line up early to pick up a tender ticket. Plus you had to allow

Extra time to return to the ship via tender boat v hopping directly on the ship.

Our tender ports were Kotor, Santorini, and Mykonos.

  13. We were in 9232 on Star and as far as I saw, we only had plugs in the vanity area. 1 US, 1 Euro 2 prong, and one British 3 prong. Since we had stayed in London, before Venice, we had U.K. And Europe converters, so we used them and then had 3 plugs for US devices.

  14. Agreed, you will be fine. We were cruising by St Marks square by 6:30 am and docked before 7. They were scheduled to start disembarkation at 8 and they started at least 15 minutes early.

There was no immigration to go thru. We just picked up our bags and sailed past the customs desk and out to the bag drop area. It took less than 10 minutes for the whole process, but then again we did wait to leave the ship until 9am as we had a leisurely breakfast and most everyone who wanted to be off the ship was already gone.

Again, it was only a 20 minute drive to the airport so you should be fine assuming there is no unexpected mechanical or fog delays.
