We have stayed in cabin  M101 on the Royal Princess and on the Enchanted Princess.  It has turned into one of our favorite locations.  Surprisingly the wind was never an issue, even on sea days.  We both thought we have had balconies on the port/starboard side that experienced more wind.  We think the angled metal at the front of the balcony directs most of the wind over the top.  Enjoy your cruise.

Last March we had a large amount of OBC from visa that went unused.  On the last day of the cruise we went to guest services and they refunded the unused OBC in Cash.

We love the Serenade of the Seas, so much so that we have booked B2B cruises on her in Jan.2019...20 days! I don't think you will be disappointed. You might find my youtube video from our 2017 cruise on the SOTS of value in maing your decision.

Could you tell me what time trivia is, both on sea and port days?

Trivia time was pretty consistant. Morning trivia started between 1030 and 1100 am most days. A couple of days there was afternoon trivia at 4pm. The night time trivia started anywhere between 730pm and 930pm. Port arrival and departure times varied greatly so there does not appear to be a set time for trivia just beacuse you're at sea versus a port day.

Update to MUTS: The Greatest Showman, Tomb Raider, Justice League, Black Panther, Star Wars Episode VIII, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, the last nigh of cruise were three concerts Sol3 Mio live then Lady Gaga then Michael Buble. The movies were the same for both segments of the cruise

Despite the posted port times we didn't arrive back in Ft Lauderdale on the Caribbean Princess until about 9:30 am plus another hour plus for the ship to unload bags and clear customs. Arriving that late caused a pretty stressful disembarkation process for everyone. This very late arrival was due to a multitude of reasons and the slower ship speed was one of those reasons.

When was your cruise? We arrived in Fort Lauderdale at about 0630 am on each leg our our B2B, 6/30-7/14

If you didn't know the motor had an issue......You wouldn't know the motor had an issue while on board. I believe we averaged 18-19 Knots the entire cruise.

My wife and I also just got off the Caribbean Princess after doing the 14 day B2B. We had a great time. We embarked about noon time and went straight to the room to drop off the carry on bags. We didn't see the sign stating rooms were not ready until 1pm. No one stopped us or said anything about dropping our bags off. I'll try to answer some of the questions posted above. There were 4 formal nights. All were on sea days except one which was after one the Western ports, possibly Belize. We dined next to a couple who were staying on the ship when we got off and stated the ***** was going live starting their 2nd half on 7/14. There were IT guys all over the ship during our second week. The rear pool was emptied one day to repair a broken railing.( In reference to a comment above about a empty pool)

At this moment I only remember a couple of MUTS. Some were the same as our March cruise. Greatest Showman, Black Panther, Star Wars........

That's awesome! Glad to hear it's smoke free! Did you have a verandah room? If so, did you have many smokers around you?

Yes we had a Verandah and did not notice any smokers in our immediate area.

Just disembarked the Eurodam today and smoking was prohibited in the casino. The casino seemed to be a little busier; the video poker seemed to be always full with patrons making their nightly deposits.:D

How exciting. We also just booked a guarantee on the Amsterdam for the June 25, 2017 14 day Alaska cruise. It's also our first time to Alaska. We are glad that we booked so early because we are learning that excursions should be booked a year in advance for the best options.

The MDR on the Oosterdam was serving lunch on embarkation for the Dec. 18th Holiday Cruise.

Just finished muster. Back on the balcony.

We cruised in room 4033 on the Westerdam and did not hear a thing from the showroom. I would not hesitate to book a room in the same location on a future cruise. The balconies are also a little larger on deck 4.

The Explore 4 promotion was nothing more than pre-selling you a drink and dinner package. I booked two cruises without the Explore 4 promotion at much lower rates.

Depending on how long your cruise is the drink package may be worth the $2400.
