So I would be able to text with someone back home, not just on the ship (strictly iphone to iphone)?  Is there an extra charge from the provider for using wifi calling?  Sorry, I'm still pretty new to smartphones.

I just found out that you can text iphone to iphone without cellular if you have wifi.  Is that the same while onboard if you have the internet package?  With no fees from provider?

We've already made our final payment on the cruise and it's in 3 weeks.  I thought the travel agency had added insurance to our reservation, but it's no longer on there.  Is it too late to purchase insurance?

Is it best to apply for a RC credit card on the ship or before?  I see right now they have 25,000 bonus points when you apply online.  Is it the same if you apply onboard?

P.S.  If you set up a Go Fund Me page for your internet package on the cruise,  I'm sure more than a few people here would pitch in.

I just moved out of Metairie where I lived for most of my life.  Metairie is, in general, safer than New Orleans.  Of course there are parts that are more prone to crime.  If you're staying at the Super 8 on Clearview Pkwy, I don't consider that a bad area.  There are a couple of bars across the street that may get rowdy at night.  I always make sure to lock my car doors and try to park under a street light no matter where I'm staying.

It's been years since I've cruised with RCCL so I'm hoping y'all can help with a few questions.  What's available for lunch on embarkation day besides the buffet?  Park Cafe seems like a good option if it's open.  What time are rooms usually available?  Is there somewhere I can get free ice water 24/7?  I see on the deck plans that there is a movie screen by the pool.  Do they show movies every night and do the have popcorn available?

I am sailing on the Vision on January 5, 2019 and Royal just informed us that due to construction we will not be stopping at Coco Cay. They are way behind schedule.

Did they give you the option to cancel with no penalty? Looks like our 3/2/19 cruise will be going to Miami instead of CocoCay.
