On Seaside, it is Sunday night, which is also Elegant night - great combo of the Elegant and fun Gatsby dress up.

Thanks, that is a great combo. Are there anymore special days besides the white party?

We were on Eagle Beach last week, next to Coco Loco beach bar.  Cost for taxi from Pier was $15.   Cost for Umbrella and 2 chairs was $40.   It's a beautiful beach, very relaxing.

Can you tell me where you asked the taxi to let you off by??

  4. JiJi's......the duck. This was the most delicious duck I have had. They also have a good pork belly. Everyone should try something different, so all at the table can try a little of everything. But that duck may not be shared.

Off all the cruises I have been on, I have never tried Blue Iguana. But from the praises here, I will be trying it in a week when I set sail on the Vista.

  5. Sparks1093, so sorry about your Dad's diagnosis.

I am an oncology nurse. Before you cancel, see what his treatment is. If it is surgery, he will be ok by June. If chemo and/or radiation, he may need some assistance. YOU may need that break by then. It is imperative that you take care of yourself, as well as your Dad.

Find out the treatment first, then decide.

  6. I have been to Aruba and did Trikes.

This time I will be renting a jeep while in Aruba. Where should I go? I would like to see the "real" Aruba + some beach time. Any suggestions??

  7. We are booked for the Vista on 3/25/17! Which dates are you guys cruising in March?

Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app

Glad to see you will be joining me and others on this cruise. You will have a blast.

The only arrangements that may need to be made early are specialty dining (Chef's Table, Steakhouse, etc.) and excursions. They are for fee.....and you can also do it once you board.

We have a group on the other site that starts with F and ends with what rhymes with cook. Over 300 members and a wealth of info.

Don't forget to sign up for Cruise Critic meet and mingle.

    Can't wait....36 days and counting.

  8. Hi cruisers,

I would like to know if anyone has done the Splendor 6 day Eastern Caribbean

(Nassau, Half Moon Cay, Grand Turk, Amber Cove)?

If so, can you tell me which day/port was elegant night? We are celebrating a milestone birthday/anniversary and we want to take pictures (dressed up) as a group. To do this, we have to make that an early port day.

    Thanks in advance.

  9. I am wishing your wife a speedy recovery. I am a nurse and if she takes her time, ambulates, and continues to take her antibiotics; she will do fine.

She will probably only be able to do minimal activities on the first leg of your cruise (which I will be on). But the second leg, she should be improving more and more each day.

Let this be her recovery therapy. It sure beats sitting at home.

Hope to see you on the cruise:D.

  10. I will be on this cruise on Nov 27.

I have been hearing "mixed emotions" about this ship. Most come off feeling like that it "missed" something. Please be honest as to the feel of the ship, crew, dining.

    Yes...can you do a review?:D I see you haven't post since leaving.

    Hope you are having fun:):eek::confused:

  11. A couple of years ago I bought several collapsible papazan chairs. They store in the shape and size of a frisbee. They fit in the pocket of your luggage great and when you take them out they spring open to the size of a hula hoop with a mesh seat attached. For any beach or excursion they are great. I got mine at Target.

Do you have a picture of the chair? I am quite interested in this.
