  1. It was at least 2.15 before they announced they had good news and you could drop your luggage and they let us on about 2.45 or 3.

We went to Moorea 5 nights prior and there are limited number of ferries back to Tahiti so we did not have much choice around when we arrived.

As mentioned we made the best of it and just went to the upstairs restaurant in the ferry terminal and had a cold drink. Nice

  2. We went on the 10 night Cruise on April 29,2015 and prior took the quick and easy ferry ride to Moorea. We went to the Hilton and stayed in a Panoramic OWB at the end of the pier. It was amazing. If you are into snorkeling and water sports their lagoon has lots of coral and great marine life. It was not cheap but we booked the long stay (5 nights) and it included breakfast and had a large discount.

You can save by not flying to another island if you like and have some great time on Moorea. Even though we spent ship time in Moorea it was great to have much more time. The resort was so nice we barely left. Super quiet and we snorkeled for hours every day.

Just a thought. Some of the other islands seem really small to spend much time at but just my opinion. Even Moorea has little to do compared to the Caribbean, Thailand or Hawaii. More was just right for us

  3. We were on the 10 night sailing on April 29th. It was fabulous. They did let us make more than one reservation and we did not have a butler. We were one of the 1st on the ship.

We tried to switch a night and also stopped several times to try to get in last minute and had no luck.

All the food was fabulous and the staff was the best. We loved every minute no matter where we ate.

Have a great time and enjoy

  4. Hello,

We just went on the 10 day sailing on April 29, 2015 and had visited Moorea 5 nights prior. We had to wait several hours and there is NO BAGGAGE DROP if you are traveling on your own. Many asked if there was a place to leave bags and see the town and they got a NO.

We ended up dragging our luggage to the ferry terminal upstairs for a cold drink

The trip was fabulous so enjoy!!!!

  5. Thanks to all who have given us so many great ideas about excursions, snorkeling and dining. Also I am sure we will enjoy the beach in Bora Bora.

We are very excited and have heard you need to make reservations at the beginning of the trip for the fine dining. The special chef will be on board so we will want to go there a couple times. We are pretty casual overall so thanks for the tips about the grill and eating outside.

    Cheers and thanks for sharing,

  6. Hello,

We are booked on the April 2015 10 day Tahiti trip with PG. We love the water and snorkeling. Does anyone have suggestions for excursions (so many to pick from) and what Islands to take the excursions. We will be able to go on 2 or 3 so trying to pick the best ones. We will be in Moorea for 5 nights in an OWB prior so possibly another spot

Also wondering if you can get off the boat and snorkel at all locations? How often can use use the water platform to paddle board and Kayak.

Any other thoughts on dinner reservations or tours is appreciated, We are excited as this is the our trip of a lifetime
