  1. We are on the Sunshine Coast and appear to be on the same cruise. Just booked today.

Any luck with a Shanghai tour?

    Ta.

  2. My wife and l are about to take our first p&o [emoji636] Cruise, from Brisbane to Hong Kong. We have sailed previously on Cunard, however l was hoping to seek a little early clarification:

    1. From what l have read l assume Ex Military OBC is not applicable for Australians?

    2. You can bring onboard 1 litre of alcohol for cabin usage? What about soft drink?

    3. Would anyone have a copy of a drinks package list?

    4. I note we have four black tie evenings. If required l would bring these, but was wondering would an appropriate suit and tie, and not long gown for my wife be acceptable? We were simply hoping not to carry all the excess clothing for our onward journey.

    Thank you all. [emoji3][emoji3]

  3. Well sadly we disembarked QV this morning in SFO after an excellent voyage from Sydney. It was indeed a pleasure to meet and chat with Safarigal and her husband. Met some amazing people, and if l had any regrets it was drinking too many 'Cosmopolitans' in the Commodore Club and Hemispheres.

But, there again, how can that be a regret. [emoji15]

  4. After ready all of the above, l just rechecked our Westpac Altitude Black, and within the policy document could not find the word cruise anywhere. I came across the word 'ferry', so l rang and sought clarification.

They provided written clarification that 'ferry' includes cruises!

Anyone else have thoughts on this?

We will still purchase private insurance, but my inlaws are over 70' and this seems there best option. We are sailing Sydney to San Francisco.

  5. We were in 11005 for 26 days. OK more forward than 11081, but l found the benefits exceptional. Just a very short and easy stroll to the forward observation area. The barely used exterior lift goes direct to the Commodore Club and Deck 7. I alwAys found it quiet, as the Ships Senior Officers are just down the hall. Very close to a laundry, which from where we were was devoid of commotion.

No drama whatsoever with any weather!! Great sailing!
