  1. Hey everyone! So as the topic reads, it has been awhile and apparently some things have changed and I’m hoping for some clarity.

    1. Specialty dining used to be a flat rate. When did that change?

    2. My wife read something somewhere about drink tax. Is that over and above our fas package?

    3. Lastly, the cost of our cruise dropped (we are 60 days out) so I called to inquire about an adjustment. I was told we were eligible for a future cruise credit and that it would show up in latitudes after our cruise is complete.  So, I informed the 2 couples we are cruising with to call as well. 1 was told the don’t qualify and the other was told that “I will submit the paper work and you should hear something shortly” 3 calls, 3 different answers. Thoughts?

    thanks in advance!!!!!

  2. Hello fellow cruisers!  One of the freebies for our cruise was a dining package yet I noticed some of the restaurants don't have a flat fee but are a la carte.  Does anyone know how that works?  Is the package say $25 towards dinner or does it cover the entire cost of the dinner?

I searched and came up empty handed

    Thanks!

  3. It has been a few years since we cruised and the last time we received envelopes to place cash in. We have our first NCL cruise on Epic coming up on 2/4 and at first I was a bit taken back by the fact that they would add $12 per person per day. However, the more I thought about it, it would certainly cost me more than $12 per day in tips if I were eating out 3-4 times a day.

Everyone needs to take a chill pill and enjoy life...and their cruise!

    Beers 'n Cheers!

  4. I had the same problem. There was no redemption offer for $150 OBC, just $100 for 10K. However, after many calls and hours spent on the phone, a $50 OBC for 5K magically appeared. You just need to choose both to get to $150. PITA but it worked. Hope this helps.

  5. I also don't think you can get to it without an account. Unless you've gotten your card you probably can't sign up for one yet.

The list on the NCL website is fairly accurate.

The only difference is there technically isn't a "$150 onboard credit option" but you can just redeem a $100 obc for 10,000 points and a $50 obc for 50,000 points.

I do have my card and I have the 15K bonus points on my account but NCL says I was issued the incorrect card and BOA states I have the correct card. I have the card in the picture on the website. In T's and C's it says $150 OBC is a one time bonus for new NCL card holders. Nothing else specific to the card and bonus points or OBC's.

The biggest problem I'm really having is that the customer service reps are just rude. Being a new card holder and first time NCL cruiser I'm wondering what kind of service we can expect on board. Based on this board customer service seems great but we are not starting out good.

  6. I don't think the normal WP site has the NCL specials. It's a BOA Rewards Points thing.

Thanks! However, I'm not seeing a BOA Rewards section. All rewards take me to WP.

I had a 3 way call with BOA and WP yesterday and both said it was the "others" problem. Nice.

  7. Well, let's let the fun begin. Applied for the NCL BOA card because the website indicates that I'd receive 15K bonus points that could be redeemed at WorldPoints for $150 OBC. However, WP only shows $100 OBC for 10K points or $250 OBC for 25K points. NOTHING about $150 OBC for 15K points. I am not looking forward to this call based on the some of the comments in this thread :-(

  8. I apologize if this was asked but there are 160 pages to this thread and my search came up empty. I received my NCL MC and after a qualified purchase I apparently receive $150 OBC for our cruise in Feb12. My question is this: If my wife opens up an account will we get another $150 OBC?

    Thanks!
