  1. Can't speak for that particular ship, but nearly all of them do the Cupid Shuffle, Wobble, and Caspar Slide (part 2). I have also seen them do a (predominantly) Carnival dance done to a Soca Boys song called Follow the Leader.

All of these can be found on YouTube if you don't already know how to do them.

    Bob

    Thanks Bob!

  2. I used it on our January 31, 2015 Breeze cruise. It was great. You can get the ship's schedule of events for the day. Then you can highlight the ones you want to do and you can reference it any time during your cruise. It's like having a computer version of the FUN TIMES.

I did have trouble loading it to my Samsung Tab 4. I went to the Guest Services and they got the ship's computer expert who down loaded it for me using a Beta Version that only he had. He said they were having some problems with the type of tablet I was using but said those would be corrected in a week or so. It worked just fine for me after he installed it. I was lucky enough to be the only cruiser with the corrected version on that cruise.

After your cruise, you can input the date of your next cruise and it will show the days, hours, minutes and seconds until that cruise. At the bottom. it says "I'M ABOARD, LOG ME IN" so I guess it should be easy enough to down load once I am aboard for the next cruise.

The computer tech said they have all kinds of future plans for other applications for the Carnival Hub.

Glad they got it to work for you. I am really happy about the FUN TIMES on the phone too. I have had to run back to my cabin multiple times to grab those silly papers and now a swipe of my phone:). Every time they go to clean or tidy up the room, there is MORE papers. Paper equals clutter to me. I think I am going to love this!

  3. At this point, just make sure everyone in your party has downloaded the app.. Once you are on the ship you will log in with your folio number and go from there. No standing in line, no muss, no fuss!! Just curious, the app was in Beta when we cruised, so there was no charge for the chat. Is the $5 charge you referenced per user, per day or per user, per length of cruise?

I read 5 per person for entire cruise. Thanks for your response. Seems easy too.

  4. We spent Christmas on the Breeze and LOVED the app and social media package. I would say that 90% of the time our texts to one another were received in seconds, there were just a few occasions where there was significant lag time. The social package was very fast and allowed me to upload pics and communicate with everyone back home. My DH, DS14, and I all agree that it added a huge amount of enjoyment and relaxation to our cruise knowing that we could easily locate one another. I respect everyone that loves to "unplug" on their cruises, but for us the "disconnected" feeling causes much anxiety. I know chances are super slim, but I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will be available on the Dream when we sail in March.

Hope you enjoy the Breeze! We love her and will probably be booking her again soon for Christmas 2015!

I just plan to use the chat feature, which I believe is $5.00 per person. So how do you get started once on board? I downloaded the app, so do I have to go to the front desk to get it activated, fill out forms and pay the fees?

Just knowing that I can reach my DS14 also will be a big stress relief.

Thank you for posting your review:).

  5. We were on the Breeze this past June, and there was an amazing young woman named Selkie playing acoustic guitar and singing in the Atrium and Red Frog Pub...we have since followed her on facebook and listen to her music all the time now. We also found a great performer early November on the Triumph. Don't remember his name, but he played guitar in the Atrium most nights.

Did anyone else get to hear Selkie, or any other artists on their cruise that were just great and would recommend?

    LPC

I looked but didn't see her on FB. What is the name she goes by on there? We are on the Breeze in March and I will definitely check her out then. It will be a treat to see someone play good in the Atrium.

  6. Sunday, January 26th (Sea Day #1)

I love to actually catch up on sleep while on vacation, so we stayed in bed until about 10am. We decided to head to the SeaDay Brunch. It was held in the Posh dining room (this is the aft dining room on the Freedom). We got seated immediately at a table for 2.

Do you remember the brunch hours and what time it ends? thanks!

  7. Awesome. Glad to see our head waiter smiling and having fun. He is the guy who was always dancing on top of the serving table after dinner. You can see him at 3:44. His name began with Ser sounded like (serhiy-or something similar, I have a bad memory)...I lost the spelling of his name. Anyone recognize him too?

  8. I remember our excursion ticket had a time so it makes since for them to have all the stuff ready when you got there at that time.

All the ticket excursions/priority go first then all non ticketed people go last on tenders. I can see why you ended up waiting till 11:30 to get there if you were late.

However, I love the idea that they keep the dip in the fridge and you pull it out when you get there.

  9. Just got home yesterday. Did a B2B the first week was good, but over Thanksgiving everything was really hit & miss.

    Escargot on Fri. nite.

Sushi one nite in the MD as a did you ever starter.

She is really looking her age but matbe after dry dock in Feb. that will be a little bit better.

The first leg we had under 50 kid's. Second leg over 800 & I swear NO CAMP CARNIVAL & all 800 were outside my cabin door ( we had a 15 year old in our cabin )family joined us for Thanksgiving.

They ran out of choc. milk by Thurs. evening.

If you plan on cruising in 2014 Check with Jeff I booked 6 cruises with him. Tell him Charlotte sent you.

You mean they didn't even run any kids program? Camp Carnival is for 2-11 year olds so the 15 year old would have been in the Club O2.

  10. Turquoise Bay is on the North side if I have my directions straight, opposite side from Mahogany and Coxen. It is somewhat less traveled. The drivers we have had always stayed with us. You can pretty much do as you like. We want to go to a less crowded place this time. It seems to be very nice, and no entrance fee. The good thing about having a driver for the day is that if we get there and don't like it we will go to plan B...

Your plans sounds nice. There are 7 of us (3 families within) so the idea of being versatile sounds crowd pleasing.
