  1. We are doing an island tour in the morning but would like to go to the beach for the afternoon. We should be back from our tour around 2:00 PM so we will have two and a half hours or so at the beach before heading back to the ship. We are trying to decide between Rockley/Accra Beach and Carlisle Bay.

    My questions are:

-Will it be fairly easy to get chairs and umbrellas for rent at each of these locations mid afternoon in Feb.? Or will they all be taken by that time? At Carlisle we're looking at Lobster Alive or Harbour Lights. Will they likely be full by mid afternoon?

    - How easy is it to get transportation back to the ship? Are cabs waiting at these locations to take people back? Are there shuttles?

Thanks in advance for your help!

  2. We are going to be in St. Thomas, Barbados and Dominica on our up coming cruise. We never been to any of these ports before so we are looking for some advice on snorkeling in each of them. Here are the options we are looking at:

-St. Thomas - we are thinking of going to St. John (Trunk Bay)

-Barbados - we are thinking of doing a catamaran tour with Silver Moon or a similar tour company to swim with the turtles and snorkel

-Dominica - we are thinking of snorkeling at Champagne Reef.

So my question is what are your experiences like in these places? We don't think we want to snorkel at all three locations, (likely just two), as we'd like to do some other activities during our time in port. Where would be your two "must snorkels" on this list? Or would it be worth snorkeling in all three?

Are there some other "must dos" at one of the ports mentioned above?
