  1. Just wanted to say thanks so much for the great trip report! I started reading after my husband and I got back from Navigator a few weeks ago (while I was in bed recovering from the flu.) Loved all the details and pictures, and definitely the jokes. I may have to get us all matching t-shirts before our next cruise with extended family. :) Enjoy your road trip this summer!

  2. We were just on the Navigator 2 weeks ago, 6289, and liked our promenade room quite a lot. We were able to get it for the same price as an interior room. It was very nice to have a great vantage point for the parades and Royal Promenade dance parties. We also enjoyed sitting on the "window seat" and people-watching. We could hear the soft music that's played pretty much around the clock, but we are not light sleepers and didn't find it disturbing.

  3. I am looking for something similar but I don't think ANY Houston hotels offer shuttles to the port or Galveston hotels that offer airport shuttles.

I just called Royal Caribbean and their shuttle from Hobby to the pier is $32/per person each way (so $64/person round trip). So far that is the cheapest option available even if it isn't the most convenient.

    Hi April(?),

Read through the roll call thread for Jan cruise and seems we're in a similar situation logistically.

We're also coming into Hobby on Saturday, staying overnight near airport, then looking for a cheap way to get to/from Port. To port, we're planning getting there on the early side; On the return from port, we're heading back to Hobby for a late flight @~6pm.

Looking to finalize ground transport soon. We have a taxi/van reserved Jan 11, Sunday ~9:30am for pickup either at Hobby or a hotel near Hobby, fixed cost, ~$110 all inclusive 1-way. We are two, and van can fit up to 6 people. Nothing is reserved for the return leg yet.

Message me at kuan dot public at gmail dot com if sharing/splitting taxi makes sense in either direction, as I can't figure out how to private message within the site.

    Thanks,

    Kuan

  4. Hi - I'm eagerly awaiting my 4th Royal cruise on Navigator in January, and had a question about booking specialty restaurants, which I've never done before. I've heard about the "book at 3 restaurants pre-cruise and receive 20% OBC" and "book the 1st day onboard and receive some discount?" Are there other discounts that would be applicable? We're thinking about going to Sabor (have seen the great reviews for it on here), Izumi, Giovanni's. We'd probably go to just 2 but could go for a 3rd to get a discount. Shooting for overall best "bang for the buck". Thanks!
