  1. On a cruise out of Houston last year, I remembered during our layover in Atlanta that my insulin was at home in the fridge. We got to Houston late - after the pharmacies were closed. The next morning (the day of the cruise) we were at a Sam's Club when the doors opened. They transferred my prescription to that store, refilled it, and we left there and still made it to the port by noon. Lesson learned! There's entirely too many carbs on the boat ride to not have any insulin. :)

  2. Just to confuse things - a few years ago when the Spirit was sailing out of NOLA, the ship's time never changed. They made announcements that the port time was not the same as ships time, and be careful to remember that. Maybe they don't do that anymore? I can see too many people have a few too many cocktails, watching the bar clock!
