Do those of you who are cruising plan to quarantine yourselves after the cruise, before returning to work and community? Disneyland is closing, Viking and Princess have canceled cruises, sporting events are being cancelled - and you think *yay!* great time for a cruise? That's just being stupid and selfish, people.

You would think flying commercially would pose more of a threat than cruising. But what do I know.

The reopening of the memorial will provide for a safe and enhanced visit to Pearl Harbor, allowing visitors to more closely understand the story and pay their respects to the men aboard the Arizona”.

Excellent! I was a little concerned about it still being closed in January. Thanks for posting.

  3. Is the debarkation process, on POA, the same as a Caribbean cruise minus customs? (i.e.; leaving your bags in the hall the night before.)

Any other differences (including airport quirks) would be very helpful.

    Thanks in advance.

  5. If you are a military veteran I would recommend the Hale Koa. You can google it for the rates which are very reasonable and the hotel is right on Waikiki. (You must have a active/reserve/retired ID or a DD214)

  6. Hello,

I am sailing on the Pride of America in December. When looking at excursions offered by NCL, there are very few for each port. Do the excursions that are offered typically change or do others get added as it gets closer?

NCL usually puts a few excursions at a time on their site. If I remember correctly, they are all there at the 90 day mark. Be aware that the good excursions (especially Hawaii) go fast ... so check often.

  7. According to the PEV schedule she is arriving at 5:15. We

open the doors to check in at 10am Normally boarding starts around 11, Since she will be returning from dry dock with only contractors onboard, there is a chance you may board a bit earlier but don't count on it..... Come check in and relax upstairs till they start! See you Sunday!

Thanks so much. Will be there at 10!!! [emoji3]

  8. It might be difficult for you to find the perfect vacation. First you did not believe either cruise line was worth the cost. Seems like the passenger roster was not diverse enough for your liking. You called them out for being mostly southern and or midwestern white people. I hate to break it to you but I doubt any of them cared if you judged their tattoos as being “unfortunate” Even though you were not interested in eating at Johnny Rockets it bothered you that other people did. You went so far as to call them “sheeple.” In your opinion they should ban the smokers and lose $$ (no I’m not a smoker). Maybe the smokers and tattooed passengers aren’t “annoyed” when the cruise line OFFERS additional goods and services to passengers who are under ZERO obligation to purchase. You also think that because you considered the people of Jamaica homophobic that the cruise line should just stop going there. It just seems for someone who doesn’t like being judged you do an awful lot of judging.

Maybe next time you should consider chartering a yacht. It might however be difficult to find the correct diverse crew. Just require them to wear clothing that covers any tattoos they may have. They could stock the right baby food, fly the rainbow flag and only stop at a preapproved islands. You could also make sure the vessel is not more than 8yrs old. The only problem with this option will be finding it at a budget price.

Thank you for putting into words exactly what I was thinking!
