I just returned from a cruise on the Epic I booked 4 cabins for me and my 3 adult kids and spouses I was allowed to take all of them through on my platinum card when they called for boarding I led the way and said all 8 were with me. No problem. At that point they won’t stop boarding to ask questions and slow things down I have also done this on the Escape

Nothing was mentioned as to what cabin was booked. What I have experienced is that when cabin prices drop so do the promotions When you book early you get what you want knowing what you are getting for your buck If waiting for the cheapest price may not get you the best location on the ship which is the most important thing on a cruise. Now with the new cabin upgrade bidding process the better cabins go fast leaving the less desirable to go for a lower price I chose. To book ahead and get what I want at a price I am willing to pay. I have gotten emails from NCL asking if I would like to upgrade for a slight increase. I declined because I have what I paid for. NCL has given me up grades because of price drops because they can sell the lower priced cabins easier. The best is to check all the angles and go with the flow. Just sit back and enjoy your cruise.

My wife and I were on the Epic sailing out of Barcelona and did not get our OBC added to our account so went to guest services with all of the paperwork, they couldn't give it to us until they checked with Miami office which would take time because of the time zone difference, they said they were sorry and gave us two bottles of wine sent chocolate covered strawberries and a box of chocolates to our room the OBC was on our account the next afternoon. When we got home we had a gift certificate from our TA saying they didn't get the paperwork in on time so they gave us the certificate to keep us booking with them. So sometimes the cruise line is not at fault

Sorry about the send before finishing. They got off and headed to the nearest bar and spent the entire day there and by 4PM boarding time they were passed out and the ship personal said to leave them there and we sailed out without them. Probably the most expensive drunk they ever had

We never had a problem with the cabins next to us on our cruises but on one cruise there were 4 guys in their 20s, loud, obnoxious party people. The first 3days they were hammered and causing all sorts of havoc where ever they went. The next morning we landed in a port

Being a non smoker yes I would book. But smokers don't bother me as I stay away from them so no I wouldn't pay a higher premium for it

It is true you will get the extra points if you book before the 3rd but you might not get the next tier adjustment because the point system will change and you will need more points after the 3rd to advance

We are a group of usually 6 to 12 We fly into FLL the day before the cruise and rent a round trip shuttle from Metro Shuttle Service they pick us up at the hotel bring us right to the boarding gate and are there at the gate waiting for us as we come out of customs and return us to the FLL they will work with any schedule you want to make

The Jewel is not considered a party ship, it is very family oriented, we have sailed on it twice and enjoyed both cruises. Don't feel pressured into the Haven area we book balconies on the Jewel Class ships and mini-suites on the larger ships which allows us 2 cruises per year rather than one.

You should check with the airport and find out how early you have to be at the airport for an international flight. Our airport requires that we have to check in 3 hours prior to flight time on an international flight

I have never had a bad experience with NCL they always treated us very well, on one cruise to the Mediterranean we didn't receive the $300. OBC we were given at sign up, went to customer service with all the original paperwork. They told us that they had to check with Miami and get back to us the next day. Went back the next morning and received all but $25. Plus 2 bottles of wine. Upon arriving home we received a check for $50. from our TA saying the paperwork didn't get sent properly.

We had booked a Panama Cruise well in advance for a January cruise on the Norwegian Pearl and a few months before the we were notified the cruise had been cancelled do to a complete charter. We were given a chance to reschedule with additional OBC or refund. We live in Northern Minnesota and like to cruise during the cold of January so opted for a Mediterranean cruise for January and rescheduled the Panama cruise for March, had 2 great cruises. Most cruise lines have time allotted for a certain ship to be available for charters. They list this in their catalogs. Ask at time of booking if the ship you are booking could be in that category

Just keep a supply of small US bills they all accept them. You might get change back in local currency. The crisper the currency the more they like it. We were there in March. Enjoy your cruise

We use the FLL all the time, come in a day early and hire a round trip shuttle to pick us up at the hotel deliver us to the Miami port and he is there waiting for us when we disembark noon flights no problem.
