  1. Reporting back about our ATV tour with island marketing. The tour guide and operator were very nice. The description said stops for photo ops. We only stopped once to get pictures of the ship at dock. Also, the description said that it was a tour of both sides of the island. We stopped at Simpsons Bay instead of Orient Beach. What they didn't tell us until AFTER the tour was that they are not allowed to take people to the French side since they are still recovering. So.... I would check before the tour that they are really going to take you where the description says. Or see if they'll renegotiate the fee since it's only half the island. I was kind of disappointed that they didn't let us know beforehand. The tour itself was very fun if not exactly what was advertised.

  2. We did the sightseeing/beach tour with Bernard's on our cruise back in Sept 2016. DH and I were the only ones that booked this particular tour and they took us anyways. It was great! Our tour guide was great and let us spend as much time at the beach as we wanted, walked us through Marigot pointing out things we asked for etc. Bernard's has my vote for next time we go to St Maarten.

  3. Thank you all. Perhaps arriving later would help with the crowds. Appreciate all your answers.
There is also a place on the website where you can fill out a form for special needs. I know this is mainly for requests for special accommodations but there is an "other" box that you can write in the situation. If nothing else, maybe doing that can point you in the right direction to find out for sure from the cruise line itself what they will say/do. I found the form by looking at medical needs under FAQ.

  4. We will be boarding FOS on April 28th. My husband has a low immune system due to cancer treatments. On the plane and airports he always wears a mask to help keep germs away. My question is this: If he wears a mask at the boarding do you feel they think he is sick and won't want him to board? I know you fill out the health questionnaire at the port, but he doesn't want them to think he is sick. Do you think his wearing a mask will cause problems? In crowded places he does like to do it. Once we are on board we will try to avoid the worse of the crowds. Have you ever seen anyone board with a mask? I do appreciate your opinions on this. Thanks,
I'm not sure how the boarding crew would act but I'm sure if you could get a physician's note explaining the reasons for wearing the mask, that would go a long way in alleviating anyone's concerns

  5. We are sailing on the allure sept 11. Can we wait until a couple days into the cruise to buy the royal replenish package? Everything else is paid for and we have $250 on board credit that we were going to use for the drink packages but with the gratuity, the total for the two of us is $313. If I could wait to get it a couple of days, the OBC would cover it.
