We'll be in that PH in January... treat it nice! :)
We should all start leaving hidden messages in this cabin... I wonder how long it would take them to find our hiding place? I'm thinking inside the piano. Or an envelope underneath a drawer. Like a journal record of who stays there that only CC members would know about. LOL
MEcruzr I found your note! Excellent hiding spot! I wonder who will find it next.

We are looking forward to this cruise too! I agree about the Ft. Lauderdale airport, very easy and close to the port. We use a private transfer service and we have gotten from the gate to the port in no time! Enjoy!

Some cruise websites are showing a 4 night on the Summit at the end of March out of Ft. Lauderdale. Anyone know why she is in FLL? And more importantly why it doesn't appear on Celebrity's website? Looks like a lot of cabins were available when I found it on other websites online. Thanks!

If you are talking about the end March 2018 four night cruise we are booked on that one and it is not a chartered cruise.

Star... I will try to remember in January to leave one for you, too!! :)
Exciting! Thanks!
Anyone traveling in 6148 after March 2018?

Does any one know if the tub on the balcony has been fixed? We were there last year and it didn't work but we didn't find out until the last day so we didn't ask about it. Thanks!

We are booked in March for that suite, would love to look for notes and see what we find! I will leave one hidden somewhere!

March 29 is not chartered. It's four nights, Bahamas and Key West

According to CC who messaged the ship. It will not be offered. It is a shame that luggage valet will not offered on the summit when it is using port Everglades as a home port during all it charters. The capability is there they should just adapt to the the capabilities of the port.

Thanks for the info. I will be on the Summit in March out of port Everglades and as far as I know it is not a charter. I know my chances are slim but hopefully they will bring back the luggage valet .
-
Luggage Valet is only available in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and Seattle. I don't think Summit ever sails from any of those.
Edit: I just read a review of a short cruise from Ft. Lauderdale to the Bahamas. I guess Summit does sail from Ft. Lauderdale occasionally.
Thanks! We are booked on the Summit out of Fort Lauderdale in March, hopefully luggage valet will be available, it is so helpful.

We are sailing out of Ft. Lauderdale in March on Summit, we are hoping it will be back by then. I have heard of other ships having back already but can't find any info about Summit.
-
Does anyone know if the luggage vallet program will be back on the summit anytime soon? Thanks in advance !
-
Thanks for the review! We are sailing on Summit in March and your review is getting me so excited to sail!
Do you know if the luggage valet is back on Summit?
-
I didn't see Summit listed, is it included in the luggage valet?

Do you have any of the dailies? How were the shows? What was your favorite drink? We are cruising in March and are so excited! Thanks!

Thanks LabGuy64 for all the great suggestions! I am so looking forward to enjoying the penthouse!

If you want private transportation we have used Larry's Limos.
TeeRick, do you have any more information on Larrys Limo, it sounds like a great way to start and end a cruise. Thanks!

It will help your butler if you can give the shoreside concierge details on specific room requests (pillow type, bed set up), what spirits you want for your bar set up, what sodas, beers, water you want in your fridge, if you are planning a sail away party, where you want to dine first night....Everything after that you can sort once on board.
Happy Cruising!
Thanks! Great suggestions!

I got an email this week from the shore side concierge, so exciting! Thanks for the suggestions, I will be ready when she emails us again closer to the cruise .

On a cruise, tipping is traditionally done on the LAST evening.
Thanks cb at sea! When to tip always stresses me out on a vacation.

We were just on the Summit in 6147 and Ram was the butler. He was fantastic. Between Ram and the Michael's Club concierge they made everything happen. We had early tea when we came back from excursions. When he found what we liked he made sure we always had a supply. The suite was in excellent shape. No obvious wear. The few maintenance problems were fixed in minutes. We only ate in Luminae for dinner twice and Tuscan Grill once because we were traveling with our children and grands who were in Family Verandas. The other nights we had a long fantastic table in the main dining room. We loved the Summit and the PH. I have lots of current photos if you would like me to email them to you.
heads up-if you want to skip a port excursion, we wished we had stayed on the ship in Dominica. The excursions are a long. Us ride.

Agree with project gal re all points. Not only can you ask your butler to sort certain things for you good ones also have suggestions themselves....
We rarely dine in suite but do enjoy snacks to be left in the fridge for the evening...shrimp platters and cheese plates being our usual.
We do occasionally host small sail way parties, the butler will provide cold nibbles and non alcoholic drinks free of charge. We have also occasionally invited fellow guests back to our suit for afternoon drinks on the balcony (M class) and the butler has appeared from nowhere to serve drinks and provide nuts, chips....
Hope you have a great penthouse experience.
Thanks! That is a great idea to have evening snacks left in the fridge! I would have never thought to ask for that.

Thanks Jim! I'm never sure what to do about tipping. We have the prepaid gratuities but I always try to do a little extra for those who helped us

We are staying in the penthouse suite on our upcoming cruise and have a few questions. Does anyone have any suggestions of what we should ask our butler for. We were also considering having lunch each day in our room, should we ask for a menu for the main dining room or luminaire? How are the specialty restaurants on Summit? Does the Butler deliver alcoholic beverages such as a margarita to your room? Should we tip our butler after each time he does something for us or at the end of our stay? And how much should we typically tip? Any other tips a suggestions will be greatly appreciated we want to make the most of our vacation.

Thanks for the great review! Any advice on purchasing photos on board? Not sure if we should buy the package before we leave or wait until we get on the ship.
