  1. We did the glacier with whale watch. The whale watch was Allen marine. There was a lady on the boat in a wheelchair, they sat her right by the window so she could see. The rest of us could move around but there were plenty of view points. Also I get pretty sea sick but was fine on this. The boats are quite fast so it avoids that gross rocking motion :)

  2. Hey op. There are other companies that do shore excursions- I'm not sure what the rules on listing names out is but check viator and shore excursions group. I'm in the minority here, I really enjoyed the blue lagoon. If you have your heart set on blue lagoon try and plan to have two hours at blue lagoon and see if you can jump off the shuttle in downtown Reykjavik. It's a very walkable city and you should be able to have a look around before getting back on. I've also done the snorkelling at silfra and the golden circle both of which were fantastic day tours.

  3. You won't have go over burrard bridge to get to the airport so don't stress about the bridge closure too much. We have other bridges to get you to that part of the city. If you take the Canada line you will likely get there the cheapest and the fastest. It's right by the cruise port and takes about 30 mins.

Our airport is fairly small and easy to navigate. It'll be tight but don't mess around and you should be ok

  4. Have done the underground tour and I really enjoyed it. Also have done pike place several times- there's a great chowder place in there that does really good chowder samplers. Would also recommend the space needle and the glass gardens next door to the space museum. It's a great city. Love Seattle?

  5. I work in the travel industry and I can confirm we are not allowed to cut prices on cruises and it must be advertised at the prices provided by the cruise line. There are repercussions for advertising lower than the price given including losing your contract with the cruise line. So most of us play within the rules because losing a contract is not good!
  6. Hey Lisa I live in Vancouver and I work in the travel industry. I'm not in sales so I'm not trying to solicit business. The Marriott pinnacle is very close to the cruise port. As a mobile person it's about a five minute walk for me. You mentioned city centre earlier which makes me think you are looking at the holiday in city centre. This is not in the downtown core and not central to anything. I think technically it is the centre of Vancouver which isn't our downtown core :). Someone mentioned the ywca. I have stayed there it is clean and comfortable and a short ($10) cab ride from the port. The century plaza is reasonable. The location is good but would be a very short cab ride for you as this would be a 15 minute walk for me from the cruise port

. I believe the rate for a cab is about $35 and usually they have a locked in fare. There is also a train called the canada line which is about $8 and easy to use but it would depend on which hotel you decide on. I like the Granville island suggestion but I think they are referring to the inn at false creek which has closed unfortunately. Let me know if you have any other questions :)
