  1. Hi All! Going on Royal Carribean cruise this Saturday out of Bayonne NJ port and we're driving down Friday morning and would like to do something in New York for the day and stay overnight. Husband and 1 year old.

Hotel recommendations and area to stay near both the city and cruise port? Doesn't have to be in the city. Jersey City area good?

Recommended thing to do with a 1 year old for a few hours and restaurant in the city for dinner.

Will be driving to the port the following morning.

  2. Hi All! My husband and I will be traveling on Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas on Oct 7 with our 14 month old! Good shore excursions or things to do with him? Horseshoe bay beach? Does the beach provide chair/umbrella rentals? Travel information because we will be traveling without the car seat. Are there things to do right off the ship (shops etc) that we could stroller him around to? Thanks! :)

  3. I would like to take my son on a cruise this October and he will be 14 months. We were looking at the Anthem of the Seas 5 day cruise to Bermuda or the Norwegion Breakaway to Bahamas for 7 days. Has anyone been on the breakaway ship with a baby? Are there a lot of things to do for him. I didn't see there was a baby pool but I saw the Royal Carribean Anthem had one. I read a lot of the ships don't have a pool for babies still in swim diapers so that was a negative of the Breakaway. What about the babies programs and play areas?

Has anyone been on both and have comparisons or which you'd prefer for a little one?! Thanks! clear.png?emoji-smile-1742

Are there a lot of things to do for him. How was the baby pool? I read a lot of the ships don't have a pool for babies still in swim diapers but this one has a small baby pool which would be good. What about the babies programs and play areas?

Also, the Norwegian Breakaway was another ship we were looking at. Has anyone been on both and have comparisons or which you'd prefer for a little one?! Thanks! :)

  5. My husband and I are leaving Saturday for our cruise. We have our excursions booked for Roatan and Belize but not Cozumel. We want to do something adventurous. I want to do Horseback Riding and thought he would like dune buggies or the submarine. Any other suggestions or recommendations? What about recommendations for dune buggy or horseback riding places?

I also read about Mr. Sanchos and they have atv and horseback riding there. Has anyone done that? Thanks!! :)

  6. Hi All! My husband and I are going cavetubing in Belize in 2 weeks. Anyone have any recommendations on what to do regarding taking pictures? Thinking a disposable water camera might not be worth it. Was thinking of a waterproof case for my cell phone. Any ideas? Also, how do you carry it while going down in the tube? Can you bring a bag? Thanks!

  7. My husband and I (in our late 20's) are going on the Norwegian Jewel to Cozumel, Belize and Roatan in a few weeks! Completely confused on which shore excursions to book/do and at which ports! Some things we were interested in are:

Submarine Ride (I want to see the coral reefs but my husband isn't a fan of swimming so thinking this instead of snorkeling) - is the submarine ride worth it and do you see a lot? Which port is the best for coral reefs/underwater life?

    Dune buggy ride

Victor Bodden tour / Monkeys / West Bay Beach

    Cave Tubing / Zip Lining

Any other ideas or places/companies to book with? I also thought it would be nice to have some extra time to explore and do some shopping. Which port would be the best to explore and shop on our own? Thanks!

  10. Does anyone know how long it usually takes to get off the boat at the end of the cruise? Going on the Norwegian Jewel in March out of Bayport. Made flight reservations out of Hobby airport for 12:50 and wanted to make sure that left us enough time to disembark and get to the airport! They do have a 4:40pm flight for the same price but I didn't want to have to wait around the airport that long :/

  11. Hi All! I have been on a few cruises, most recently on the Pearl to Alaska in 2012. My husband and I are in our late 20s. Were taking a cruise at the end of March and I am having trouble deciding which one! The Jewel is the least expensive, Epic being about $400 more with airfare and Getaway being about $600 more with airfare. I am worried since I have been on the Pearl that the Jewel will be so similar that it wont be too exciting for me. I know the Epic and Getaway are in a completely different category. Anyone that has been on them think they are worth the extra money?? Which one would you recommend??

Jewel goes from Houston to Cozumel, Belize and Roatan

Epic goes from Miami to Ochos Rios, George Town and Cozumel (have been there before but a long time ago)

Getaway goes from Miami to St. Maarten, Virgin Islands, Nassau

My husband likes more adventurous things than just lying out on the beach.
