We are about to do our tests tomorrow.  There are 4 of us and we have the 6 pack of tests.  We planned for the spare 2 to use for a cruise we have next month.

When they saw that the tube was empty did they note that and process a replacement?  Or is the E-Med part totally separate from the test kit maker?  i.e., is there a way to get the faulty kit replaced, especially since it shouldn't be "your word against theirs" with the EMed witness?

Hey.  The proctor said he noted the defect, but I haven't been contacted by emed about a replacement.

  2. Good morning friends.  Family of 5 here in South Carolina cruising on the Mardi Gras Saturday.  Got up at 5am to do our tests.   Easy connection, but when I was asked to open the dropper and put 6 drops into the test, there was no liquid in the dropper at all.   Completely empty.    Thank goodness I had ordered the 6 pack so I had 1 extra.   The other 5 were great  and everyone was negative.   Just wanted to share with yall....not to scare anybody, but sharing my experience just in case you wanted to have and extra on hand.   The lot # on the test was141804.   Have a great day everyone.

  3. Any clue as to what happened in Mahogany Bay? We were on the Breeze stuck behind the Magic until 9:30 to leave port. Our ship was cleared, but there wasn't enough room for us to leave port until your ship left. We were out on deck for the last 90 minutes before sailing and saw nothing odd.

They never mentioned it, but other guests said it was a medical emergency.

  4. Did you have staggered boarding-- did you have to pick a time beforehand? If so-- how far out did you get to do it? We're on the Magic for the first time in September. Glad you had a great time. We're looking forward to it.

Yes. We were scheduled for 11am. Got to the port at 10:30 and went right to the platinum lounge. On board by 11:30 and our room was ready!

  5. Sooooo glad you had a great time !! My wife and I are taking the Magic on the Western sailing this coming Saturday. This will be our 1st cruise on her and am SO excited ! Is there something special to do or see on her, about all we've planned to do is the steak house, which we always do because that's the week of our anniversary. We've already booked a Christmas cruise on the Breeze, which will be a FIRST for both. So glad your embark/debark went so well. I know how sometimes it can be a real SNAFU. :( But, that's usually caused by over eager idiots who won't wait till they deck is called. Heck, we're SO eager too, cause we can't wait either... too go CRUISING!!!

    Mac

Steakhouse was soooooo good. I had he cowboy ribeye and my wife had the filet. Best meal of the week. You will have a great time.
