I think that "delay until six months before cruising" has to be requested when the next cruise is booked.  I first learned about it when I booked directly with Viking and then transferred booking to my TA. I have actually gotten the "delay until six months before cruising" twice now. I cruise Viking a lot and really like them.

Our payment for Jan 12 Antartica was June 30 and we didn't ask anyone for a 6 month before cruising payment.

  2. Steve, just saw you on the Star Princess & loved you so much, I sat through all 4 shows. (We're the couple who live in Oregon near Katherine Ross.) There was another comedian onboard who's name I have been brain wracking to remember. He is half Columbian, half British. Please help me with his name. His material is definitely not "from Reader's Digest" and sounded completely original as it's all about his life. Happy New Year, Nancy & Dave

Finally remembered who this guy is. Name is Andrew Kennedy. If you have a chance to see him on board, definitely go to see him. Hilarious!

  3. God Bless, and give the guys another chance. All the best to you and yours, Steve Moris

  4. Great.

I have $2,200 non refundable invested in air fare.

Let's see if they cough that up.

    I am VERRRRY disappointed.

We decided to go ahead and take the Nov. 9 cruise. We usually book our own airfare but decided for the Oct. sailing to do it through Princess. Glad we did as they did refund all we spent on air.

  5. We were just notified an hour ago that our booking on this cruise was cancelled and offered a measly $200 credit if we change to the Nov. 9 sailing. As far as why should we receive any compensation, we & our travel agent spent a lot of time booking the cruise and hotels before & after in Shanghai & Singapore. Also already made & paid for our plane reservations. (Luckily we bought insurance.) Now more time changing things. BTW, our travel agent was offered $50 to get us to change to the Nov. 9 cruise. This would have been our 5th cruise but our first with Princess. We've avoided them in the past as we prefer smaller ships but this itinerary goes to several places that hubby visited with the Navy & he wanted to share them with me. Since it sounds like this ship has been booked solid since April by this same Chinese group, what is the likelihood that the Nov 9 one will also be bought up by them? Princess has not endeared themselves with us!
