  1. I was on the same cruise. Looked like everyone that was drinking had a package by the 2nd day.

Getting a drink on the pool deck and casino took 20 minutes sometimes. Never had a problem getting a drink for my gf as long as I had her card. Most of the time they would make me sign, a few times they didn't even swipe my card.

One of the sea days there was a server going around getting drinks for people on the pool deck. When he finally came to us I gave him a $15 tip in hopes that he would keep checking on us so we didn't have to stand in line at the bar. Never saw him again after that

  2. We were on the Vision of the Seas 2/28 to 3/7 a strawberry Daiquiri was $12.00 plus a tip. That was my first & last drink while on the ship. We did our drinking while in port.

There wasn't anywhere you could go on the ship that you didn't see a display advertising the drink package.

Specialty restaurants must have been slow on this cruise. On the last night the ship was offering dinner for 2 $25.00.

At 12+tip you would still have to pay if you have drink package, only a couple a dollars bit still. Effing ridiculous

The specialty restaurants were probably dead because everyone spent all their money on alcohol. My next cruise is in a couple of weeks, I think it will be my last cruise with royal

  3. The two of us are leaving on Grandeur of the Seas from Baltimore on March 21. Linda and I are mid 60s, active, and have been thru Spring Breaks with our children. My youngest son just left last night for Ghana Africa, spending his Spring break doing mission work with 15'other students from Liberty University. Very proud of him and the other students for their selfless acts over break.

That being said, I have been on my share of benders, and so have my kids.

Knowing we are spending 10 days on Grandeur during break season is a plus for the two of us. Yes..., there are always stories of some kids getting out of control, but I love being in a mixed age cruise. Seems like too many people in my age group are too grumpy and selfish. I understand some look forward to peace and quiet... But don't you get a little bored after a few days.

Get out there with the kids and join in a line dance by the pool. its fun now and then to stop acting our age !

Party Up with the kids. :D

I doubt you will have many spring breakers. Spring break isn't until easter in the Baltimore area. Being that's its a 10 day cruise will also cut down on the college kids

  4. I will be staying there the day before my cruise on the 23rd. We booked a balcony room in the tower. Not sure which room they will give us but we requested a room that has a good view of the ships

Everything looks new in the pictures on their website. I dont know if the people that are saying that its out dated haven't been there recently or if the pictures are very deceiving.

    We shall see...

  5. If you think RC is high, check out Disney's prices

The RC cruise I booked for this month wasn't any more then carnival or any of the others. It was actually cheaper with the BOGO sale.

I think it really depends on the ship. The prices for the Quantum were outrageous.

  6. I will be staying at the Hilton on 17th street. Looking at google maps, port everglades looks like its only a 1/4 mile away. Im thinking of just walking there. I hear it is a secure area and was wondering if its possible to enter on on foot or if its actually further then it looks and we should take a cab.

    Thanks

  7. I was on FOS last week and saw many, many guys in shorts all week long. Even saw one guy in shorts on formal night. And my dinner was still great!

Sweet. I wasn't planning on packing pants for a vacation where the temperature will be in the 90s. I will probably skip the formal night though

  8. Has anyone found any good pricing from FLL during March or April of this year?? Inside will be fine if the price is right.

I'm leaving from fll in march on the liberty for a 5 nighter. It came out to almost exactly 1,000 after taxes and every thing else. Price is for 2 people

  9. I am sure that the reason for this is due to capacity at the island.

The Allure is in Labadee on the 24'th and from what I have seen of Labadee schedules they do not schedule another ship in Labadee the same day as Allure or Oasis.

On the 25'th the schedule shows both the Quantum and the Liberty in port. It will be insanely busy that day but at least you will be the first ones on the island.

God dammit!!! I will be on labadee with the liberty on the 25th.

Quantum is effing huge, labadee is definitely going to be over crowded.
