It is their business as they need to ensure the health and protection of you, their employees, and other passengers.

Your probably the type of person who cries that it’s none of their business but would then sue them if you got sick because they did not inform you or protect you from the virus.

In other terms get over yourself and move on.

Im going to assume you know how to read

My quarrel is I want back the same form of payment I gave to RCL

I had every intention of cancelling my May cruise, due to health concerns, and no I would not take the chance of sailing and then point fingers, to blame anyone but myself

  2. My feelings are their request is in violation of the HIPPA Act

My health is none of their business, and against the law to provide them documentation regarding my health

Your 200.00 also gets you for 7 Days

    1) Towels plenty of them

    2) Hot Tub

    3) Misting Station

    4) Restrooms (close by)

    5) Fresh Fruit daily

    6) Continental Breakfast

    7) Private Bartender/waiter

8 ) A chance to meet new people( BTW the Vibe group we had on the Escape was a fun bunch. And yes many keep in social contact.

    9) Vibe isn't for everyone, for us it was exactly what we wanted/expected.

    Seriously??

Restrooms and Towels? Where do the remaining 3700 passengers go to relieve themselves and dry themselves off 🤣

The RCCL 'Adults Only" Solariums also have a FULL buffet breakfast albeit not as large as the one in the Windjammer. I've never sailed NCL, doesn't the waiters take drink orders at the main pool?

I've met lots of wonderful people on all the cruises I've been on and all it cost was the price of the cabin

For those of you who feel the price of the Vibe is worth it for what you get...Enjoy

MY opinion is that it's not worth an additional $400 dollars for my wife and myself

SeaShark I have been known to talk to myself at times 😉

If you paid 1700 for a Cabana....Someone ripped you off !!!!

Chill Island Cabanas run $299 to $569 per cabana for up to eight people. Prices are dependent on the season. The cabanas feature curtain closures on three sides, with comfortable sectional seating inside, four beach loungers outside for sunning and an umbrella-shaded dining area with four tables and chairs.

Whats included in the NCL Vibe pass? A lounge chair and ONE Jacuzzi

I'm not knocking anyone who wants to purchase a Vibe pass, I personally dont think it's worth the price they charge

BTW The 1700 Dollars  you refer to includes

    Private Beach

    Clubhouse

    Infinity Pool

    Beach Chair and Towels

    Dining at Cocoa Beach Restaurant

Your 200 dollars gets you a lounge chair

All inclusive? Where do you cruise where everything is included? It certainly isn't RCCL.

    As advertised:

RCCL wants $1,700 for a cabana for 8 hours. Given that you can squeeze 8 people into the cabana, that works out to over $212 per person.

I think $200 to have the Vibe for an entire week is waaaaay better than $212 for 8 hours.

I hope the OP is being tongue and cheek about this.  Vibe sells out within minutes and these expanded Vibe areas will also sell out but now probably midway through the boarding process.  NCL has options to upcharge just about everything these days.  Not sure how this is any different.

I would pay $200 for a guaranteed deck chair.  However, will Vibe lose its appeal from a small uncrowded and private experience to a crowded and typical pool deck on a cruise ship?  IMHO I think its very possible.  Laying down like sardines far away from the pool with hundreds of people sounds like a typical day on any cruise ship with no upcharge.  I also see this feeding the chair hogs.  They now have to get up earlier than ever to secure that pool chair since there is limited availability.  🙈

You would pay $200 for a deck chair? Would you pay to get in the movie threatre and then pay extra for a seat? I don;t see the attraction regarding Vibe, on all the RCCL ships I have been on (and there were many) they all had adult solariums which were very nice. Im going to have to respectfully disagree with your willingness to pay extra for a lounge chair, the cruise is expensive enough without these ridiculous upcharges. Soon they'll be an upcharge for a 'premium' seat in the dining room. I cruise because it's ALL INCLUSIVE, at least thats how it was years ago,

  7. Just got off the Enchantment yesterday cabin 7114. The noise coming from the walls and balcony door is unbearable. My wife and I literally did not sleep for 4 nights. I've read reviews on the cabins, (unfortunately after the fact) and this problem is not new to this ship and some of the cabins.

The food was terrible, the air-conditioner didn't work (maintenance fixed it)

Although I realize this is not a nes ship, and it's showing lots of wear and tear, I think it's inexcusable the lack of cleanliness in the public bathrooms and cabin

This is my 5th Royal Caribbean cruise and the worst I've ever been on

  8. Just came off the Jewel of the Seas on Saturday. At the Windjammer Breakfast Buffet there's this orange looking drink that I assumed was orange juice. Then I saw in the middle of the buffet a machine with an attendant and fresh oranges making fresh squeezed orange juice for $2.49!! This nickel and dime stuff is getting ridiculous

Forget Shrimp Cocktail at dinner, it wasn't on the menu one night

Overall I enjoyed the cruise, but for those prices, I don't think there should be an extra charge for Orange Juice at Breakfast

  9. Just something to throw out for discussion:

Do the airlines have any role in the decline of many people not dressing up as much for formal nights?

I mean with there bag fees and weight restrictions, bringing along a tux/suit could generate more cost for many.

    Thoughts?

I agree. Although I used to participate in Formal Nights, I would now have to bring a garment bag which costs $35 dollars each way on United. That's $70 dollars to get dressed up for a portrait I'm not going to buy at those ridiculous prices!!

  10. Bad advice, RCI does not respond kindly to this type of intimidation.

Who's being intimidated! Standing up for what you think is right is intimidation!! I don't really care what RCL thinks of my tactics, if it were me, my objective would be for RCL to make my hard earned cruise, using my hard earned money an enjoyable experience. The gloves come off in situations like these.

  11. Also there's NO WAY I would consider sailing the Grandeur of the Seas in April! It's your money, but RCL wouldn't get any of it if it was mine!

If RCL reads these board I was going to book the Oasis for April, I am not going to wonder after making final payment if I'm going to get the cabin I choose. There's way too much competition out there to consider doing business with a shady company!

  12. Bill

The hell with RCL and your TA! Can't you dispute the charges with your credit card company? There's NO WAY I would go to a restaurant, order the steak and be told I HAVE to eat the chicken because that's what I'm being told to do. You know me, I don't respond well to being TOLD to do anything!!

Assuming you made final payment with a credit card and depending on the company, let them go to bat for you! You have more than enough documentation that you are being ripped off!!

Just a thought...You can't imagine how much this pisses me off!! (yes you can)
