We are also on that cruise (me, husband and daughter 12) and have joined the roll call. Going to NO a couple of days in advance and staying over one night at end because I did not want to fly home the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend!!
I booked swim with dolphins in Cozumel (directly with company in Chakanaab), snorkeling in Belize City with Coral Breeze Tours and snorkeling at Harvest Caye and Mayan Ruins in Costa Maya (both through NCL).
Looking forward to a nice vacation!!

Any reviews or experience with the Bourbon Orleans Hotel in New Orleans? It has excellent reviews on Trip Advisor and seems like a good deal for the French Quarter. Taking a Thanksgiving cruise on NCL and looking to stay a couple of nights pre-cruise and one night post-cruise.

They aren't switching all cruises, only those for the Winter 2018/19 season. Breakaway arrives in NOLA on 11/11/18.
Here is a link to NCL's press release:

We were also changed from Gem to Breakaway for Thanksgiving week 2018 cruise. On the Gem we were in a non-Haven 2 bedroom family suite. The same suites are only available on the Breakaway in the Haven and NCL switched us to the same suite but in the Haven. It originally showed the Haven price but after calling customer service, they were able to change it to the price paid for the Gem reservation,.On another thread on this same topic, there were two other people in the same situation who were also given a Haven suite on the Breakway at the price of the original Gem booking. For me, it did take some time for the change to be reflected in my reservation as well as a couple of calls to customer service but they always handled the calls well.

Hi! We are booked through CAS. Our total cost shows $1,300. lol... I'm waiting to hear back from my rep.
Thank you for the quick response! I am hopeful it will all get worked out like I was told yesterday.

I called on Sunday and they returned my call on Monday. I was assured that we would get the same cabin (which on Breakaway is located in the Haven only -- had a 2 bedroom family suite [sC] non-Haven booked on Gem) for the original price I had booked on Gem but he also did tell me it would take some time, this just happened and they have a lot of changes to make.
Hope this is correct -- Any suggestions on how long I should wait to see the change in myNCL before I call back? I am thinking a month or so -- cruise isn't for over a year so there's plenty of time.

Hi all - it will be my first time sailing on the Breakaway. Are there any two bedroom family suite (H4) cabins to avoid or that are preferred. Any help you can pass along will be appreciated.
Thanks! :D
Off topic, but I remember you posted in another thread about the conversion from Gem to Breakaway and asked if you would be put in the Haven since the two bedroom family suites on Breakaway are only located in the Haven. So, did you get assigned a cabine in the Haven? If so, was it for the same price as you originally booked on the Gem?
I ask because we are in the same situation -- they put us in the Haven but charged us almost double our original cruise fare. However, I have been assured we will be in the new cabin with the old price but it hasn't happened yet.

Wow, my SC (2 people) on the GEM ($8,907 cabin+inurance+package grat) was transfered on the Breakaway to an H4 ($16,946). Probably going to have to rethaink this cruise...
Same thing happened to me. I will try to call and see if they will change it -- I shouldn't be penalized because NCL decided to change the ship. On the other hand, it is the Haven. I am definitely not paying over $12000 for the cruise so if NCL doesn't change it, will go to Royal Caribbean.

Imcgrail -- are they charging you the Haven price? We were booked on the Gem over Thanksgiving in a non haven 2 bedroom family suite and while I was excited when I saw that they moved us to the same cabin in the Haven, I wasn't happy when I saw they are charging us the Haven prices, 2x as much! Does anyone have any idea if this will change if I call them?

Coming to Seattle in about a week for cruise to Alaska, staying at Hyatt Place downtown near Space Needle. Need info on transportation -- this hotel is not partner of Seattle express or shuttle express and east side prius' don't look big enough. Will have 2 adults and one child, probably 5 bags plus 3 carry ons (non-roller bags). Any information appreciated.

We were on the Thanksgiving sailing and went to the Cirque show. I thought it was worth it. Have never been to a Cirque show before.
Unless you are taking a tour, don't get off in Belize City. It was terrible, very crowded, all shopping and people trying to sell tours, etc. at every step. Did not look safe to go outside the port area.
