Thank you for all your helpful responses. I feel much better about this now.

Hello. We are a couple with U. S. Passports arriving at LGW from Orlando FL via British Airlines at the South Terminal on Thursday, June 13th at 10:40am. Our next flight to Barcelona departs from LHR, not LGW, for a BA flight departing at 17:10. Does this allow us enough time to travel between the airports (via Blackberry Cars) and get through customs to catch our flight? Obviously this wasn’t a great choice on my part and I am wondering how long to expect the lines for customs will be at LHR. Thanks for your help and any tips you can provide. BTW, our cruise departs three days later.

Bluebird - I keep checking your thread since I initially saw it last night to check in on your progress. You have a great attitude throughout this episode though I’m sure you have some down moments. You offer an inspiring outlook which will help you get through this. Please keep updating so we can follow your status on getting home and the healing. Sending healing hugs your way!

Thanks everyone for your answers, points to ponder, and some laughs. I ended up calling Carnival and they were very helpful. They ended up offering our friends the same rate as us so we are all in the right cabins. Kudos to Carnival Customer Service!

Thanks Firefly. We will have to consider your thought about the possibility of someone backing out. That is a good point.
If we do go ahead, do we just take care of it upon boarding at Guest Services?

Friends would like to join us on a sailing of the Mardi Gras. As previous Carnival cruisers, my DH and I were able to get a much lower fare than them. Saving a few hundred dollars is significant. If my DH and I book each of us in a cabin to obtain this rate for both cabins, what would be required to switch cabin mates upon arrival? Will this be an easy switch? Would we just go to Guest Services upon boarding and switch? Thanks for any advice or experience you can share.

Thanks for your information. I looked up Eagle Ray Divers snorkeling trips as just as you said, they take you to Dzul-Ha reef.
I know a lot of people go on the catamarans but I wonder if they are too crowded to enjoy the snorkeling.

We were wondering if anyone has a recommendation for an enjoyable snorkeling boat tour? We like to snorkel and enjoy the boat ride aspect too.
If so, is the snorkeling better than Money Bar or Chankanaab? Our port times for the Carnival Sunshine are 10am - 6pm.
Thanks!

All your responses have been so helpful. I went ahead and purchased FTTF yesterday and am excited to get aboard early and go right to our cabin to drop off our stuff.
We are considering doing a private excursion in Belize. If we do, it will be great not having to deal with waiting in the tender lines.
I will report back if it has any impact on our dining.
Thanks again!

This thread is great at explaining the FTTF program.
We just booked our June 7 cruise on the Sunshine and all that was left was Any Time Dining. If we purchased FTTF, would we have priority to get switched to a regular dining time?

Thanks for your response Mishka. We finally ended up booking the Sunshine as it is a Saturday sailing and the Legend is a Sunday sailing. Have a business trip that Monday which made the decision for us. We will look forward to trying Legend in the future.

We are looking at booking a Western cruise on the Sunshine but are also considering the Legend. They both have similar itineraries. The Sunshine was recently renovated. We are two 40ish adults who have cruised quite a few times previously and live in Orlando so Port Canaveral and Tampa are both easy for us to drive to. Anyone have any thoughts on which ship they would suggest?
Santorini Boat Tour - Seasickness Issues?
in Greece Ports
Posted
We are coming to Santorini on a cruise. Friends have booked a private boat tour on a small wooden “sailing yacht” including stops for swimming then dinner onboard and watching the sunset. We are trying to decide whether to do a land excursion or join them. I already take medication for seasickness and do okay on cruises but have ended up sick on smaller boat tours in Hawaii, especially when the boat is anchored.
Has anyone with my seasickness issue taken a similar boat tour in Santorini? What was your experience? I really appreciate any input.
