I'm still seeing it on carnival.com for booking. Where is it closed? Only a matter of time IMO. Hard to deny with the ship destination update.
Try to go through the booking process..Says there is nothing available.

Roatan, Honduras is by far my favorite port...

I like to go into the dive shop and ask to buy one, the kind with the coral chipper on the back... lol..

Just curious, would you be platinum at check in or would it be after your cruise?

We get aft facing balconies on the Escape and give the room steward $20 and he brings us cushions for our loungers like they have in the Haven Suites... Makes the wife more comfortable..

We have booked cabin 9708 on the Escape for September, my husband has always wanted to stay in an aft balcony room. It looks like 9922 is available for an up-charge of $400, is it worth it? Any advise would be helpful. We have cruised Carnival, RC and Celebrity but never NCL.
YES!! It is worth it...We are going September 30 and have 2 aft balconies on deck 12... We were in the same rooms last year... Deck 9 and Deck 12 have the largest of all aft balcony rooms... DO IT!! Great Views!!

Bond24seven.. We just reserved 12908 for a Dec Eastern Carr trip. Since you had both 12908 and 10, how would you rate the location and which balcony would you say was larger? Is the bed in 08 near the balcony or the closet? Any insight much appreciated.
We thought the location was great! Right in the middle of the aft balconies from top to bottom... We wanted deck 12 because because of the size and that it was far enough away from Spice H2O not to hear loud music late into the night, and decided not to get deck 9 because deck 8 right below is public access off the back of the ship and people sometimes go there to smoke.. The room steward offered to open up the dividers between the balconies which we did. 12908 and 12910 had exactly the same size balconies. The bed is beside the balcony in 12908 and beside the closet in 12910.
My wife also gave the room steward $20 and he went and got us some of the cushions that are on the loungers in the Haven. She said that the loungers were way more comfy after that. We had 2 loungers and 2 regular chairs and a small table on each. You also might want to ask them to empty the mini fridge.

We are booked on an Aft balcony on the Escape. I read that the balconies get soot all over them from the engine. We are in room 13312, Has anyone confirm this? Do you recommend I change rooms
We were on the Escape and had rooms 12908 and 12910. Never had problems with soot or anything else.. However; If possible, I would recommend to move to an aft balcony on deck 12 or 9. These are the largest balconies with deck 13 being the smallest. We have the same two rooms September 30, 2017 we liked them so much.

We did Alaska on the Jewel... In my opinion, a balcony is a must.. If I ever go to Alaska again, I will probably get an Aft balcony to be able to see whats on both sides of the ship. We didn't return the same way we went, so we missed about half of the scenery. I like having my own piece of real estate and not have to fight for position while checking out the scenery. I think the Bliss is supposed to replace the Jewel in 2018. It is a good itinerary and I would definitely do it again... I don't think you will be disappointed in any Alaska cruise..

12908 the bed was by the balcony, 12910 the bed was by the closet...

I just switched for the 3rd time. From 13910 to 12910. I'm extremely nervous. The last 3 times that I've called each person has told me that 13910 has a 77ft balcony and 12910 is 34ft. Posts on this site say something different though. I'm going with the CruiseCritic advice...and against Norwegian's.

I was told the same thing when I booked, I had 13910. But after I did research I found it wasn't the case... I was in 12910 an I am in it again September 30, 2017...here is a youtube video that may ease your mind...

There is no 13901 on the Escape..If you mean 13910 then Aft facing balconies on deck 13 and14 are the smallest of all the aft cabins. Aft facing balconies on decks 9 and 12 are the largestI just switched my cabin to 13901. Aft facing large balcony. I can't find any photos online. Has anyone stayed in this one?https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/Norwegian-Escape

That sounds like the aft balcony we had on the Getaway, room 10914. Why are the aft balconies larger on the Escape's 9th and 12th decks? Wouldn't they be the same size on decks 10 and 11?
Not sure why they are different, they just are...deck 13 is the smallest. Check out the reviews on the Escape aft facing balconies on cruise critic .... in my opinion, aft is the best... the large balconies on deck 8 can be seen by cabins above...

Wow, that's the best news I've heard all day! I'm in the exact same room on the Escape on October 28th!
The balcony will have 2 chairs, 2 loungers, and a small table.. We actually have 12908 next door also. Our room steward offered to open the partition between last time ...

Get an aft balcony on deck 9 or 12.. They are larger. I was in 12910 in October 2016 and I am going to
be in the same room September 30...
-
Yes it is worth it...And the balcony is bigger...

Great review!! I will be in 12910 October 1st 2016... I have been looking for some video of this cabin... This was perfect!! My wife is super excited about the large aft balcony.. Did you hear much noise from Spice H20?
