  1. Its exactly supply and demand and how the ship is selling.

I dont really follow the CEO's of NCL but I read that the CEO that took over was out already. People that knew all the NCL executives names were saying who from NCL got promoted into the new spot. It was 2-3 weeks ago Im guessing.

  2. Prices are based of how the ship is selling compared to how they have sold that same time of year in the previous year/years. So if the ship is selling really well the prices will stay up, if the ship is running behind prices will drop after the final payments were due and then again a little later once the cost of canceling and re-booking gets higher...and thats if the ship isnt selling well in the lower categories. A promo will come into play if they feel its going to up the sales then the prices might increase or the promo will prevent the prices from dropping.

  3. Theres a good thread on how the prices are calculated and your not prepaying for the promotion. I added the promotion to my current reservation and it cost my hardly anything, and then the price dropped $600 while the promo was still going on...And the CEO that made the comment of what would it take someone to cruise on our ships versus someone elses if we were $4 more a day.. is no longer the CEO of NCL

  4. Well most of the reviews on CC are negative. Its funny how two people can be on the same exact cruise and one person absolutely loved it and the other talks like it was the worse experience of their life. So when I go on the Epic next week Im sure Ill have a great time and leave an amazing review so the normal people out there don't shy away from the cruise.

Some of the reviews are extremely nit picky yes. Many people have complained about the cabin not being turned down, up, side ways whatever it is...you on vacation who freaking cares!! Seems like people werent informed that there is going to be 4000 other guests on this boat and sadly a lot of people are just plain rude, welcome to Miami! These people should goto a spa retreat some where thats quiet. They'll probably enjoy that more. If every cruise was as bad as the reviews make it sound then NCL wouldn't be in business.

  5. I for one never pick a vacation destination that doesn't have a casino

HAHA me too! I've heard Disney CL has no casinos so guess me can scratch them off the list!

Everybody knows cruise ship casinos are tight. It even seems like the luck at the tables isnt as good on a cruise but we still try anyways just because we enjoy playing.

  6. As for what the casino is like, I would say it's like any vegas casino. In fact, when I did a review for epic, that's how I described it: more like a Vegas Casino resort at sea than a typical cruise ship. Being that I enjoy Vegas and the resorts, I loved the Epic. I think this is why the Epic has such a history of mixed reviews. It's definitely not a ship for everyone.

Awesome now Im even more excited to go on the Epic in a week, I love vegas!!

How were the craps tables? How many tables/ minimums?

  7. I hate to say it and I hope NCL does not read this but their drink prices are extremely reasonable. I live in Miami and the drink prices are less expensive on board than if you would drink on Miami Beach or Miami.

Drink prices on Miami Beach are way over priced to begin with! lol

  8. Im trying to find the actual interview from the new CEO. The interpretation of the article isnt correct. The CEO was asking what they'd have to do in order to get the customer to pay $4 more a day to go on NCL versus other cruise lines. The CEO was talking about making NCL more efficient by placing ships in areas that made more sense through out the year. He didnt say they'd stop expanding the fleet like I keep seeing, but that there's more to being successful at getting people to sail with NCL that just continuing to bring new ships.

  9. NCL will only give you OBC if no upgardes are available... so if you book the ocean view dont worry about the price of the balcony itself...watch the price of the room your booked for. If the Ocean view drops NCL will upgrade you at no cost.

My cruise dropped over $400 after final payment and I went from a regular BE balcony to a spa balcony.
