  1. Hi All

I like to get my passport stamped everywhere I go (sort of a free souvenir marking where I was on what date) and have found some posts from other people who do the same, BUT I noticed there was no one post that gave the locations of several places at ports of call where you can get your passport stamped. Below are the ones I know:

St. George, Cayman Islands: Just as you come off the dock there is a customs building to your right. They have rather cute passport stamp featuring a pirate turtle complete with an eye patch and peg-leg.

Falmouth, Jamaica: There is a customs house at the end of the dock. I was told they will not stamp your passport unless you are staying overnight. FAIL!

Nassau, Bahamas: When you reach the area at the end (island side) of the dock, you will notice a small building with a gate beside it guarded by 1 or 2 soldiers. Just go up to them and say you want a passport stamp. They will direct you inside the building they are securing to the passport control office. The smiling lady inside there is more than happy to accommodate you.

Any US Port of Entry: US Customs usually doesn't stamp US passports but will do so if you ask for it, at any customs port.

DOES ANYONE ELSE KNOW ANY OTHERS?! Especially St. Kitts and St. Maarten (Dutch side)/Saint Martin (French side). I am going this fall!

  2. Not sure if this has been asked and answered but here we go: I know the ports have parking. But I drive an 18-wheeler and it would be quite convenient for me if any of you knew of any place to park large vehicles (e.g. RV's, campers, etc) that might let me squeeze my tractor-trailer or at least just my tractor (no trailer) into a spot for the duration of a cruise.

I am primarily looking for places in Florida and Galveston, but would love to hear of other places too, if ya'll know of any?

  3. I've never used either as I'm in Australia the Grats and OBC may even be from the line, but either way I've never had any problem getting any benefit I've been allocated by either the cruise line or the TA.

Oh, ok. Thank you. Do you generally find it is a better deal to go through a travel agent or the cruise line directly?

  4. Hi everyone! I am new to the forum but I am so glad there is a Lose Before you Cruise thread!!! It was something i was sort of hoping for, to motivate me. Weigh in for the week is 322.0 lbs. (was at 347.8 about 4 months ago) I haven't booked a new cruise yet, but hope to lose a good deal before then. I went off-diet on Feb 2nd for my 4 day cruise and gained 3.2 lbs! Back on the wagon now though.

  5. This thread might not last because you mention TA [online ones] names.

But yes you still get your loyalty points.

Thanks. sorry about that. i removed the names.

Have you ever booked through them? I was looking at... one of the sites... and it was showing free prepaid gratuities and onboard credit. sounded like a good deal but I didn't want to just jump on it until i got some advice.

  6. I have been on two cruises so far and both of them I booked directly on the cruise line's website. I was wondering a few things though.

    1. How many of you have good/bad experiences booking through other sites?

    2. Do you still get your loyalty points for the cruise line if you book through an external site or travel agent?

Thanks in advance for any help you all can give.

  7. Hi Everyone,

I am new to cruising and on my first cruise there was a gay group on my boat. I was interested but wasn't able to catch any of the people in the group to find out more information about it. It was on the Navigator of the Seas, leaving Galveston on 10/26/14 for a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise. Was anyone a member of that group? Can you give me more details about it?
