  1. I don't think you get the points until the completion of the cruise. You just said you booked it. Unless things of changed, the points should show up in your Crown & Anchor account after the cruise.

Yes, I should have said "booked and sailed" as the cruise has finished and the points have already shown in my history but only as single points not double.

  2. Recently booked a JS GTY and only received one point for each night. C&A terms and conditions state two points per night for a suite and the definition of a suite includes a JS. Do I miss out on double points because I booked the suite as a GTY ? Your thoughts please would be appreciated.

    Cheers

  3. Does anyone have a tour operator to recommend for Vigo apart from Brendon at Tours Galacia? He is already booked on our port day. I have tried a couple of other tour operators found on a google search, but although there are email links I have not received a reply. Is email not the best way to make contact for Spain?

    Thanks for any suggestions.

  4. Hi Gixer

I wanted to let you know how much I have enjoyed reading your posts about the Falkland Islands. The information is so informative and helpful. We are booked with Patrick for Volunteer Point on Friday, January 23. I am sure our penguin experience will be a highlight we will remember always.

I will leave a small thank-you gift from Australia for you at either the post office or Michelle's cafe, or with Patrick if we run out of time. [it's not a magnet:D LOL]

  5. We sailed Star Virgo about six years ago and that ship remains one of the best we have cruised. A work colleague cruised Gemini about the same time and said it was GREAT. The smaller size apparently allows for excellent service and he said the feel of the ship was more nautical than hotel. Have a wonderful cruise....Alan

  6. Michael,

We are just back from Summit's 9/16 Alaska sailing. If you have an aft cabin then I can tell you you have the outside area of the buffet above you. Teak floor with heavy teak tables and chairs. It is a shettled part of the ship and well used. You may get noise of the scraping chairs but it would not be enough to turn me away from an aft cabin.

We had the the pool deck above our sky deck cabin and yes you can hear noise. We would choose deck eight next time, not because of the noise but because of the overhang. It got in the way of picture taking
