  1. We stay at the Holiday Inn at Rocky Point, the shuttle will pick you up at the airport for free. Last month I was charged $10.00 to ride to the port. There is a good restaurant right next door, others are near by.

We just booked that same hotel. $10 to port!!

  2. I'm on your same cruise.....I'd like to go to the rainforest as well. I'm curious at what food I should try while I'm there? Make sure you take our picture when you see us!!!

    23 more day!!!:D

I will be taking plenty of pics for sure but I think we are going to skip the rain forest and stick to the city. From all my research, the best photo ops are of Old San Juan, the beautiful buildings, cobblestone streets, views from the forts, etc. The rain forest excursions you're always doing something and at the mercy of someone else. I do wish we were in San Juan longer to experience more. I do see where someone else is renting a car on their own which I may look at...we shall see.

Hopefully we can get the CC group together for some photo ops and drinks.

  3. I'm on the same cruise and I have been to San Juan many times. I believe the ship is docking at the downtown terminal so it should give you some time to wander around before or after you get back. I would definitely go to the old fort. It is within walking distance, has beautiful views and is interesting to visit.

That's what I heard. I just don't know when the excursion leaves and returns. If we do have time to go out to the rain forest excursion and come back with time to see the fort, great!! I just don't know the time situation.

  4. OK.... I really need some opinions here for San Juan. We've never been to San Juan and the boat is only docked from 8-4. I was really leaning towards doing something in the rain forest but feel like by the time we got back, there would be no time to walk around the city at all. We are already doing a city tour in St Marteen so I really wanted to do something fun and adventurous in San Juan but now I'm torn because (as a photographer) I'm hearing San Juan is a great city to check out and explore.

Can anyone throw their 2 cents in?
