  1. Embassy suite was great!!. We had a delay in Atlanta on our flight due to the plane catching fire in ft. lauderdale. We arrived at the hotel around 7.10 pm. Happy hour was from 5 to 7. The wife an I went to the bar, they told me it was over, but I let them know we just arrived. They really look out for us with a few drinks just to get us relax . The food was great. The following day we took the trolley and check out the place. $3.00 to ride all day. We also check out kellys landing restaurant. I am not a big seafood lover, but they had the best jumbo shrimp ive ever had. So im glad I didn't change my reservations for somewhere else to stay I would recommend Embassy Suite to anyone that's looking for a pre-cruise stay.

  2. Breakfast is crowded, so you may want to get there early. They offer a wide variety of choices, including cooked to order omelets. It's served in the atrium lobby. Happy hour is house brands with some snack items such as popcorn, chips and salsa, etc. Everyone is usually in a good mood because most of the guests are getting ready to cruise or returning from one.

Sounds good, This was kinda the reason I pick this hotel cause of the cook to order breakfast and the happy hour. plus I hear that the restaurant across the street, Kellys landing is pretty good.

  3. Have stayed there 4-5 times over the years. Very nice hotel in a convenient location. What specifically is she concerned about? The rooms are a bit dated but spacious and clean, and the ES is gradually updating the hotel starting with the public areas.

What I did was google hotels an when the embassy came up,i look at the newest reviews. one complaint was roaches. another complaint was they didn't do a good job of cleaning this is what I found on below. I pasted this.

]We stayed at this Embassy Suites post cruise, I agree with the rest of the reviews, horrible and dirty. This place needs a complete overhaul in cleaning. I saw popcorn and clothing tags left on the floor wasn't vacuumed, I couldn't wait until we checked out of there. I felt being near the port after the cruise would be helpful. NOT!!!! Some of the workers there are not professional, most were but some questionable. I will never come back here again.

So this is our first time here and possibly the last time. The elevators are way to small and there aren't enough for the fact that the hotel is really big and has many stories. The beach isn't close (walking distance) and there is nothing to do around. And if you have a car you have to pay $20 dollars a day! And the housekeeping is terrible they don't vacuum, they leave the trash just laying around everywhere. I do really like the pool and the way it looks inside the lobby. [/color]

  4. The wife and I will be staying two night before we leave on oasis of the sea next week in ft.lauderdale. We have already got a reservation at a hotel near port everglade ,but we came across some bad reviews that has my wife wanting to look for another hotel. Can I get some feedback from previous cruiser on a nice hotel to check into? Also would like it to be around something to do for the day. Thanks

  5. ME and the wife are going on oasis of the sea Oct. 31.We will be staying in ft. lauderdale two night before we leave. I already have a reservation at the embassy suite in port everglade. But I have came across some reviews about this same hotel that wasn't to my wife likings. Can I get some feedback from previous cruisers on a nice hotel near the port to stay for these two days. We sorta want be near something to do during the day. Thank you!

  6. We are planning our cruise on oasis of the sea this coming October. Has anyone heard that if you buy the premium or ultimate package , that we will be still limited on the price? Anything over $12.00 dollars the packages will not cover the drinks.:(

  7. Those rates are for full wedding. Look at the Royal Proposal package, which includes "popping the question" for first timers or vow renewals for married couples, and the packages start at $450.
I called royal weddings an to do a vow renewal will cost me 1195.00:(
  8. Wow! That is pricy. We did it on HAL for about $300.00 and that included champagne, a picture and dinner at the Pinnicle restaurant! Also it was done by the captain in a private area of the crows nest. A very nice evening that we thoroughly enjoyed.

We felt for 40 years we deserved it.

    That's a good price.

  9. We will be cruising on oasis of the sea in October of this year. So I ask my wife to lets renew our vows onboard the ship. My question is, Do we have to use the packages that they offer in order to renew our vows We are not looking for something that's gonna cost $3000. Just want renew them an party the rest of the trip the way we want to.

  10. HELLO EVERYONE! Me and my wife are going on oasis of the sea this year.My question is, What is the earliest that we can arrive at port everglades an try to beat the crowd and long lines?Thank you.
