looking at the itinerary you will notice that there are 2 sea days on the way out and 1 on the way back.
so to my mind I would choose a starboard side cabin as they will get sun on the balconies late morning until sunset on 2 days.
Port side cabins will get the sunshine in the morning only. This is because the sailing route is WNW to ESE. and of course it is the reverse on the way back but only for 1 day.
But if I am really honest I would try and get a deck 10 aft with it's 120 sq. ft. balcony (1st choice) or deck 11 aft 98 sq ft. balcony (2nd choice) as these would get direct sun in late afternoon/evening on the outward journey and most of the day on the return journey.
however some people don't like the aft cabins as they are worried about the possible noise and movement.
These cabins are much sought after and so may already be booked.
the last paragraph assumes you aren't in the Yacht Club.

Thank you Pete - this is a great help! I guess we will choose one of the B2 starboard cabins on deck 10.

Deck 10 will hardly have any affect from the overhang except when the sun is very high in the sky.
I can't make a recommendation as to which side of the ship might be better unless I can see the detailed itinerary which includes a map of the route and the times in port.
So if you could give me the ship and sailing date I will do my best impart my thoughts as to the best side of the ship for you.

Thanks Pete! It will be MSC Divina, departing February 15th 2018 from Miami

Hi,
so I went through all this fantastic recommendations (thank you!) but still can't decide which cabin we should go for.
We would like to book the fantastica experience, even though we won't get the drink vouchers here in Germany. We're looking for a nice B2 cabin midship with a sunny balcony. Is deck 10 strongly affected be the overhang? The cruise will be in February 2018 so there are many cabins on all decks to choose from - maybe too many! :) is there also a recommendation concerning the side of the cabin during Caribbean Cruises?
Thank you for your help - I'm always making a big deal out of finding the perfect cabin...

Fisherman's warf, as spotfish already mentioned, is pretty nice. The city center itself is not far away either, so you might want to go there, too.

Have you thought about getting there by using the train? There's a direct connection from Frankfurt to Rostock (which is close to Warenmunde) with the ICE (long distance train). From Rostock you may take a cab or a regional train to the port. I live in Frankfurt, so if you have any questions, let me know!

Hi everyone,
first I'd like to say thank you for all your support in the last years. I've been a silent reader until now and you guys helped me a lot. Wish we had such an online community here in Germany.
I'm looing for my first caribbean cruise and fell in love with Regal Princess ex Fort Lauderdale January 29th. There's just one question left at the moment, before we book. Does anyone now if there's a Social Media WiFi Package like other cruise lines offer (MSC, Carnival,...)? I saw several options, but I did not see any Social Media offer yet.
Thank you and best regards from Germany,
Patrick :)

Thank you so much! We finally booked and chose cabin 10142 - seems to be one of the best cabins to me. We are not big fans of aft cabins, due to the noice and movement.
Can't wait- 12 months to go!
