Do you not think if you have certain ailments it would be better arriving at 2pm and just walk straight on board?

 

 

 

You are going to be on the ship for at least a week so a couple of hours wont make much of a difference.

 

 

 

From what I have read from others, you are still going to be arriving with the vast majority, even though you will then jump in front of some of them!

I would typically be with you on that one! However, we're only on for a few days and since I technically pay for the embarkation day - it made it more of a reason for me to try it this time. Plus this is also the first time I'm buying the drink package and intend to use it to its fullest from the second I step aboard lol.

We're going on a quick 4 day trip in a few weeks & have bought the Cheers for the first time!

I fully intend on trying every single frilly umbrella drink with top shelf alcohol while sun bathing on the pool deck.

I think my only way I'm going to ensure I get my $$ worth is making all my alcohol top shelf! I mean why not?! It's a $50/drink limit! I'm taking advantage!

I recently changed my name (after I booked my cabin) and all I had to do was call Carnival and they changed it on my confirmation. Didn't ask me for any proof - just told me it has to be the name on my passport. No big deal. Oh and I just did that this past week!

From the cruise terminal to the Alcatraz terminal is a nice short walk. It's beautiful and worth doing on a nice day - don't Taxi!

The red hop on/hop off busses will take you to Alamo Square (where the painted ladies are - or better known as the Full House house) it'll also take you across the GG bridge and by civic center where city hall is, through golden gate park and a few other places.

I'm a local and I've done the tour a few times & love it every time! Make sure to have a jacket though or else us locals will laugh at you. (All in good fun of course!)

With the days winding down (SLOWLY) I'm getting more and more excited!!

Uber in the city is way better and more trust worthy than a taxi. But to each their own.

Download Uber. If you're a first time user - look up codes for the first free trip. The wharf to SFO is NOT 45 mins away unless the traffic is bad.

If you get off the ship by 8:30 - 9a then you should be fine making an 11:45 flight.

Hello there,

I've been stalking these Princess threads looking for as much information on Royal Princess because we will be sailing on her later this year.

Unfortunately there isn't a ton of threads about her as other ships - mainly because it's a newer ship?

Would I be able to read threads about her sister ship (even more new) the Regal and get a similar feel?

&& please if you have experience on either - feel free to write it here! Can't read enough about it!!
