We are just back from our cruise. My husband and cousin did the Carnival sponsored horseback ride and island swim in Isla Roatan. They loved it. The staff was attentive and was very helpful to new riders. Afterwards they enjoyed the beautiful private beach. Lunch was available at a reasonable price.

Thanks for the feedback. We will keep the excursion at Mahogany Bay.

These are all great suggestions. One I would add is bring magnetic hooks for the walls of the cabin. Great for hanging swimsuits, ball caps, string bags, etc.
Have a wonderful time with your family and enjoy your cruise.

I'm looking for feedback on the horseback riding at Mr. Sanchos. We are booked for riding on Isla Roatan but it is a 30-45 minute drive each way and much more expensive. Thank you!

Well said. The Captain does not make these decisions in a vacuum, he relies upon the expertise of the team at RCCL HQ as well, and the experience of those on the ship with him. This sounds like a terrifying experience and I'm glad everyone is back safely, a few with minor injuries. I hope your travel insurance comes through for you. We sail on Carnival Glory in 19 days and are praying for good weather from Miami to western Caribbean and back.

We've taken Tervis tumblers with lids on our cruises. We take them to the Lido and fill with coffee or soda. We can walk around the ship with them and not have a mess with liquid splashing out. It's also nice to keep them at the sun deck lounges so our drinks stay hot/cold. We've never been questioned by any of the staff about using the tumblers.

Although your cruise is paid for, remember that there will be automatic gratuities added to your sail & sign card. Enjoy your family cruise.

We cruised out of San Juan in February 2015. The live bands in the casino area were great. A Filipino group played a variety of songs really well and the rock band played 80's and 90's music. We enjoyed both.

We were in balcony room 6380 and loved it. Great location to elevators and Lido deck. Hope your daughter has fun. The Valor crew is fantastic!
