  1. TrapperZimmy — requirements change frequently and with the omicron surge they were requiring a PCR test three days prior to boarding and a rapid test in order to embark. This PCR test has now been made optional.

If you go to the sea dream website you can follow the links to the countries / ports and see the requirements for each.

  2. We are sailing on Saturday (2/26) and took our PCR tests yesterday (waiting for the results!) and SD just called to notify us that they JUST (within the hour) changed their policy. A COVID PCR test taken 3-days before boarding is no longer Required (it is recommend as an option). Just checked the website and it is there in black and white. They will still be doing Rapid tests before you are allowed to embark.

    Just sharing the news. 🙂

  3. Just completed the latest Seadream 1 sailing yesterday. We are in St. Thomas until tomorrow and having a wonderful time. I just want to echo the sentiments of a few others --- this was our third Seadream sailing and suffice it to say it was the best so far! The crew was wonderful as always --- they are what makes Seadream a top-notch product. There was a "soft" charter of about 50 on this sailing --- however it was a good group who mingled and embraced the yachting experience. Only one child on this sailing --- he was about 10 and well behaved.

The food and dinner services were outstanding. We made a request to eat outdoors every night and our table for two was always ready. Wine with lunch and dinner was fair to good. Frank always gave us a recommendation. We did purchase several bottles of wine this time --- this was more because we are wine snobs than anything else :)

Weather perfect, drink flowing, sunglasses cleaned, faces spritzed, no chair hogging, umbrellas on deck when requested....really wonderful! The caviar and champagne beach day at Jost was a great time --- I like this venue better than Coconut Grove. Captain Remi is everywhere and accessible. The returners party was enjoyable -- there were about 20 returners.

We booked again for next year. The ship is suppose to be going into dry dock after crossing the Atlantic. Yes, it could use some basic updating, but all in all it is worth it to us to continue to stay with Seadream.

    Happy sailings!

  4. Last year when we traveled on SD1 we were not given PJs -- rumor had it they were not delivered to the ship on time or others speculated that SD was no longer giving souvenir pajamas. Any recent cruisers able to let us know if PJs are being given as gifts?

    Thanks. Sailing this Saturday.

  5. I understand AOS is having a 10 day dry dock late March - early April 2014 and that only minor refurbishments are taking place. Major refurbishments are now scheduled for 2016. Any idea if one of the minor refurbishments is the addition of the Diamond Lounge? We've been diamond for years, but tend to exclusively sale out of San Juan so those ships have never had a dedicate Diamond Lounge (we used to be able to use the Concierge Lounge until the That was made for Suite and Diamond Plus member only.)

Hope to see a dedicated Diamond lounge for out December 2014 sailing. Everything I've read is not mentioning a lounge.

    Thanks for any insight.
