  1. Here are the pizza/beer prices, they emailed it to me.

"we have different sizes and prices for pizza the 12 inch margarita pizza is $12 the 18 inch is $18, little french key pizza 12 inch is $15 and the 18 inch is $21. all beers local or international is $5."

We'll be doing the $59 package I think. These prices are actually pretty in line with what we pay here.

Thanks! Those prices seem reasonable to me. I’m thinking of doing the cheaper package and just ordering pizza. We’re not drinkers, and with our picky eater, I don’t think there’s any way we’d get our money’s worth from the package that includes food. Thanks again.

  2. Would be so nice if there were prices....I have not found ONE post wither here or on Trip Advisor that gives food prices. This will be my goal when we go in May, to get pics or prices for the pizza place and the Gecko Grill, if its even open.

Makes it frustrating when trying to pick the regular package for $59 with no food or drinks included, or pay the extra $29 and get the Full Island Package for $88 that includes TWO drinks and a lunch plate. If I knew how much the pizza was I would just go with the $59 package and get a pizza.

I am on a mission now to get these prices.....they must be very top secret since there has been nothing mentioned.

I have been looking all morning for the exact same information! While liked the food the last time we were there, I would rather just order a la carte and get exactly what we all want. We have one very picky child, and she would much rather have a pizza than all the other food that comes with the $88 package (not to mention she has a bird-like appetite). I'd love info on what the gecko grill serves, as well. When are you cruising? We'll be at LFK on 6/6.

  3. Did you notice if there are tortilla chips on the ship? They have that lovely salsa bar with all those yummy salsas, but when we were on the Triumph last year they had NO chips! So disappointing! John Heald posted about this once on his FB page, and people overwhelmingly requested to have them, but don't know if anything ever came of it. I'll bring my own bag if I need to. :p

  4. We surprised our two with the news that we are going on our Magic cruise this month with a scavenger hunt. They just thought we were doing a fun family activity. I am lazy. I got all of the clues from the selling website where you can buy "handmade" things.....don't know if I can state the website name or not.?.? I think it was like $5 or something. There were lots of different ones to choose from, based on ages, number of kids, and inside/outside of the house. I just printed out all of the clues and then hid them in the proper locations. The "treasure" at the end was a printout of our cruise itinerary. They loved it!!!

Whatever you do, she is going to be THRILLED!

  5. Yeah, picking the time slot is completely painless. Hopefully the implementation will be equally painless.

It seems that some of the Magic (and only the Magic) bookings have mysteriously disappeared off of the cruise manager. Have you checked yours today? Strange that it only seems to be effecting the Magic. Hopefully it is just a easily remedied glitch and when they reappear nothing will have been lost.

I just checked, and all my info is there. It's strange to check your cruise details and see a boarding time listed right below your dining time! :) Hope your cruise info shows back up soon.

  6. I checked in for my March Magic cruise and picked my boarding time (10:30-11:00) with no problem. Since this boarding program is supposed to transfer with the ships as they leave Galveston, I went ahead and checked in for my July Triumph cruise from NOLA so I could get an early boarding time, but it didn't give me any boarding options. It was the just the regular check in process I've always done in the past. I'm guessing they haven't updated all the cruises that far out yet???

  7. We went on th Dream last July for our honeymoon and LOVED it! It is a great ship and we could be as busy or as lazy as we wanted to be......which was nice since we were pretty exhausted the first day or so after the chaos and activities involved with the wedding. Book the steakhouse one night for a nice dinner. It was romantic and delicious. The Serenity deck was wonderful. We spent a lot of time there.

We originally booked a balcony room, but the "upsell fairy" called us about 6 weeks before and sold us a suite for a great price. The suite was fabulous. Enjoy your honeymoon!
