Make sure you read the fine print.
I had a mother /son cruise booked on RCL in late July, but had to cancel as my son got military orders to report. I had RCL "any reason" ins. And just received a letter from AON that we should be getting the 75% cruise credit. Is there a time limit on how long you have to use the credit?Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Hello
Before Irma I contacted a reputable company for a snorkeling trip. At the time they were very busy getting ready for Irma and said that they would get back to me once it was over.
Unfortunately they lost a boat but all there staff are safe. They have asked me do I now want to book, which I do. I am visiting Grand Turk on the 26th Dec. I have to give a 50% deposit which is refundable if the ship doesn't dock.
I know nobody has a crystal ball, but is it possible that Grand Turk will be a possibility in late December?
Thanks
I would wait to book. You probably be sorry you did. It is a catastrophe there

$147 consultation. Great service Royal, way to take care of people in need. What a freaking shame. I can't even put into words how disappointed I've been with Royals' handling of these 2 hurricanes. It's radically adjusting my perception of them.
I agree 2000 percent with you. Royal has screwed the pooch

I know it feels good to just vent sometimes. It is frustrating when a company has all the "power" in situations like this and are holding your $$.
Before I give up on RC, I would send an email to the CEO. They have always been very responsive in the executive offices and I think your Diamond Plus status works in your favor.
It will be difficult to build up to a comparable Diamond Plus status by starting over with another cruise line. Good luck with wherever you go. And for the rest of us... one less person in the Diamond Lounge I suppose.
Just another selfish person worrying about themselves

Why only RCIs insurance?
You need to read ANY insurance fine print and see what it covers and how.
You sound like you work for royal caribbean

I was suppose to be on there on the 17th. Royal caribbean has just been voted worst customer service in the universe. Diamond plus member and I will never sail them again. Good luck if you have insurance useless

I too have cruised my last royal cruise. I had a state emergency with Irma in Florida and they refused to make any type of help. All they are is capitalists looking to get whatever they can out of you. They are like vultures

Don't trust royal caribbean guest relations. If it ain't in riding you have no chance. They tell you more stories then a fairy tale book

Beware of royal caribbeans cruise insurance. You need to read the small print and then have a lawyer to read it afterwards. If you cancel your cruise due to a disaster have fun trying to get reimbursed. They might give you an onboard credit if your lucky
no longer loyal to royal
