I have only heard that we can, it also depends on the ship? I am going on the Bliss next week and I am putting gift cards on my app. I have printed out my barcode that is in my starbuck app so he can put that in his lanyard and just show them that.

I am on the bliss right now. You can use gift card and app. And printing the barcode from the app for my son works great too

Just bring the gift cards . They are accepted .

I have see this post and another post saying they might not take gift cards anymore. Hopefully they still allow the app, or the barcode used in the app. I will find out next week what is being used.

Get him the unlimited Starbucks drink package for $12.95 a day if he drinks that much Starbucks!

My son is under 18, you can't get the starbucks package for under 18 years old. And if he is not with me he can do this on his own

Why not just take a screenshot of the bar code?  Seems that would be easier unless I'm missing something as I don't have/use that app.

Yeah this is for my son, so in case he is not with me at the time.

Would love an update when you're back! Brilliant idea about the barcode printout 👍👍

Sure, I will let you know how it goes. With internet service and the chance of not being able to get into the app I thought if I printed out the barcode that I pay with that would work too. I will let you know if it works!

Double checking here - I just read on the other social media site that the Starbucks app is no longer able to be used, as of last week. Anyone on board now who could corroborate?

Please confirm any details, as I promised my son a healthy Starbucks budget (but less than a package budget) as a reward for tolerating the mere presence of his endlessly indulgent parents.

    Cheers!

We will be on Getaway in 2 weeks with my 5 year old and 2 year old, and I was wondering about Splash Academy too. Specifically about the hours, because I’ve seen them listed as 7-11pm (with extra 11-1am at a charge), but no daytime times. Being able to drop off my 5 year old while the 2 year old naps in the afternoon (like 1-3) would be ideal - since the 2 year old isn’t old enough, I don’t think we’d use it at other times.

So we went in 2016 and I had a 4 year old and nearly 2 year old. The 2 year old can do guppies but the parent have to be there, and I don't know if they have this still but we paid a little bit for them to have my 2 year for a little bit so we could have some kids free time. My 4 year old loved splash academy whenever it was open he wanted to go, which is mostly on sea days. My 4 year old is now 10 so I hope he still likes it as much as he did when he was 4.

Sorry to hear this and glad you had a good cruise otherwise.  Question . . . we are sailing from LA/San Pedro on the Bliss on 1/27, so very shortly.  You mention a tent so that makes me think you embarked from Berth 46 at the Outer Harbor rather than from the main cruise terminal?  If so, then did you first have to go to the main cruise terminal to check in and leave luggage and then be shuttled down to the Outer Harbor?  Our e-docs just seem to direct us to Berth 46 at the outer harbor but I have been reading reports that suggest we should go to the main terminal first.  I wish NCL would communicate more clearly.  Thanks for any insight.

How did it up working for you? I have a cruise in March. My edocs say berth 46 but the port website says bliss will be at berth 92. So I am confused on what to do!

Based on seeing folks here indicating the water now shows up on their reservations I logged in to check it out. Ours now shows the 6 pack of water included times four. Our booking date was December 1, 2022. I only expected to see a two quantity indicated for the two of us with the FAS beverage package. Did not expect the kids would be entitled to them.

Same, with the FAS the waters looks like the only thing the kids are included in.

Well, this is something I've never much thought about.  In Ontario, kids are off school in March (March Break).  At Easter, they'd only be off on Good Friday and Easter Monday; this is not a typical time for planning family vacations.

This like my kids...They get spring break in March and two days off for Easter making it a 4 day weekend.

  9. Don't call NCL, call the Upsell Dept. Call 1-800-625-4309

They offered me a 2 BD Suite for $500PP.

I was in the Haven twice this year and only wanted a mini suite.

    Call em!

When did they offer you a 2 BD suite for $500pp? I kept calling and only could get it at $1000 pp and then it sold out. Are you on the 9/10 sailing? I think I just have bad luck :P

  10. Yeah, I booked on the spot when she said $300! She offered us the other for $1000, which was more than I could spend.

Yeah me too! Wish they would have offered me the $300 too I was calling for days...maybe that is why they didn't they were tired of me :p

  11. Were you able to get a good deal? We booked a balcony guarantee for the 9/10 Escape sailing. Just called the up-sell number this morning and got a Haven Courtyard Penthouse for $300 a person. Seemed too good to pass up!

I called, same cruise...nothing available but the H3 for $1000...very lucky of you!

  12. Or maybe Amy Winehouse' response lyrics in her song Rehab.

"but I said, 'No, no, no.'"

In fact, maybe NCL could just tack that musically on the customer service line initial response when its called.

...I tried to bring on my water but NCL said no no no...
