So I have an all inclusive resort booked for Punta Cana in June. I'm looking for a great community like this except for all inclusives. Trying to figure out what to do in Punta Cana while we're there. Or if there is no such place, maybe you guys could help me.
We want to go deep sea fishing, not on a group boat though. We want to do a private charter. Any recommendations for the best company to go with? Looking for just a half day trip for around $700/750.
Also interested in doing the hoyo azul cenote. Any recommended tour companies to go with?
Would appreciate any info!

No, photos weren't taken with a phone. Just a small Canon point and shoot camera.
The walk to the bridge is maybe 10 minutes. Go along the water and through the Riff Fort and across the pontoon bridge. We sat after sunset at the Iguana Cafe by the water, ordered a drink and watched a smaller cruise ship pull out though the channel . It was pretty neat. The tugboats pull the ship away from the dock.

Didn't seem so. You just fill out the the injury waiver sheet and you're good to go. Wasnt really a line when I was there. We went first thing off the ship. About 8am/9am

We took taxis right from the pier. It was $25 to Arashi, $15 to Eagle from Arashi and $15 from Eagle to the cruise ship. The taxi we took parks right inside the docking area, as soon as you walk off ship to the left. When we came back he dropped us off 10 ft from the ship. It worked out great.
Thanks all!

Idk, I thought Guy's burgers where exceptionally good. We never got around going to the MDR for breakfast, wish we had though.

Curacao and Grand Turk are great, I agree.

Thanks! You didn't like Aruba? We loved all 3 ports. We're big beach ppl though, so I guess if you don't like beaches it isn't that great.

Working on pictures :(
Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've tried clicking the "insert image" icon and inserting a link within that from both Flickr and Imgur.
I get this...
I've tried 1024x768 and 800x600 with no luck.
I've tried just simply posting the direct image url in the message and it just gives a link.
What am I missing?

Considering we had 5 in our room, you're probably right lol

Carnival's site lists Sunshine pax capacity is 3002 and 1040 crew.
No way can they have 3600 pax on board, it would violate Coast Guard regulations. He must have been including the crew.
Yeah, that makes sense.

Wiki lists the capacity of Sunshine at 3,006. People that I was with said they heard the announced count as 3,700 ppl onboard. That seemed unrealistic so I asked Donkey and he did say there was 3,600 onboard. That's a lot of people over the max. Only thing I could think was that the 3,006 count is passengers only capacity and the 3,600 was counting crew members also?

My husband and I were on this sailing as well. We felt it was one of the best cruises we have ever been on and we have been on quite a few. The ship, our room, the food, the itinerary and the great group of friends we met made for a fantastic experience.
I was beginning to think I was the only one. Although I understand some of the crowding complaints with Sunshine, it was still one of my best experiences. I've been on two older Royal Caribbean ships (monarch and sovereign) and two "newer" carnival ships, sunshine and dream. I don't feel like there are many differences in the companies but I feel like(in my experiences) that Royal excels in the MDR and Carnival excels in overall entertainment (not necessarily shows, just overall activities). Royal seemed to be asleep by 8pm and Carnival was still active at 11pm

Yeah. Which seems weird to me. You would think all the ships food would be similar. Kind of like, McDonald's is McDonald's etc etc. Huge difference between the food quality on Sunshine and Dream.

Didn't get in the hot tub but did feel of the water and it seemed just warm. Which I guess is the idea BC you wouldn't want a traditionally 'hot' tub in 80°+ weather? Might want to go to the hot tub on serenity area, the two by the pool were filled with kids. Water slides were great.

Yeah, we were group 34 on our luggage tag. We were part of the last 30-40 ppl to leave the ship. Then had to drive 12+ hours home. I got in bed at 3am. 😵😴

Someone said they saw them covering someone completely up on a gurney and officials taking photos. Who knows if that was true or not. Hopefully they were OK.

Don't forget the Pour Your Own Beer station. If you like beer, those are super convenient. Cheaper and quicker than bar service! Had my fair share of Thirsty Frog. Had a few nights of the 1am thirsty frog and an entire pizza to the room. Now I'm eating burger king.😟
