Ellair, I'll check out the Best Western to see if it works for us. It would cost us $28 per day at 55 Francisco street (ACE parking) because of the size of hubby's truck. The other vehicle we have access to is my in-laws but theirs is a full size sedan and on their website it says $28 per calendar day for full-sized, vans, trucks and SUVs. The web site says compacts are $18.

The folks car is technically a full size but hubby amazes me in some of the small places he's able to park it. What size vehicle were you able to park there for the $18? Thanks in advance for the info :) I know it's going to cost us to get to the pier but I'm trying to do it in the cheapest way possible.

Thanks for the confirmation MarkBearSF. When I saw the address was Airport Blvd and then read some of the google reviews of the area it didn't take us long to decide that a door to door shuttle was our best route. :D

I have a friend that lives in Vallejo and without thinking she offered to pick us up and give us a ride. It wasn't until I reminded her that she drove a 2 seater Mazda Miata and that we'd have 4 bags for our 10 day cruise that she realized oops, that won't work. :eek:

I've been doing some research for our August Alaska cruise. We live about 75 miles from the Pier and we also were interested in a park and cruise hotel. The parking we found in the city would have run $28 per day in the parking garages. I found one cruise and park online called the Citi Garden Hotel on Airport Blvd. They don't offer a shuttle but there are cabs available. The rates I looked at were $139 per day plus between $25 and $30 for the cab service each way. The hotel reviews didn't rate it very high but it would just be one night. I think we're gong to take one of the shuttle services that picks us up at home and then returns us to our door after the cruise. The prices I'm getting run about $140 each way so it won't be much more than getting a hotel and cab or paying for the parking in the parking garages downtown. :)

Edited to add: The $139 price included parking for up to 14 days. Additional days were $7 per day.

I'm not entering the Kellogg's one where you have to purchase anything and register thru an external company. Princess already has my email address so I didn't mind entering the Princess 50th anniversary one. :):)

Well ok, me and everyone else wants to win. :D:D I just entered the 50th Anniversary Sweepstakes so now I'll just sit back and wait for them to call me.

I'm sure the odds of winning are slim but I did win a 7 day cruise to the Caribbean on Carnival 10 years ago. The United chain of grocery stores has a Monopoly game and you had to send in two halves of a cruise ship on a postcard. The first year I played I didn't win squat but the 2nd year I was one of the lucky 15 winners. It was all inclusive with a balcony suite and all port fees, taxes and gratuities were covered. I'd always been skeptical about those types of contests but I'm a firm believer now and enter all of them.

Maybe this will be my year to win again :):)

LOLOL I'm the same way. I log in everyday just so I can look at the personalizer and watch the numbers drop. 4 more days and we'll be in double digit mode. :D:D

I had the same problem last night but I did log in earlier today. I just tried logging in again and it says the site is undergoing maintenance :)

Keeping my fingers crossed that things work out for you. We recently returned from a 5 day to the Bahamas on Carnival. Mom and I had a balcony room next to my sis, her hubby and my 4 year old niece. It was great to be able to have the partition opened up creating one long balcony. My niece spent the entire cruise running back and forth between our rooms.

Flying into Orlando on Saturday and meeting up with my mom, my sis and her family. We'll be the ones with the most adorable 3 year old blonde beauty that you've ever seen. (Can ya tell I love my niece to pieces)

Yep I read that Thrak. Thanks for the heads up though. :) I don't vape in public places where smoking isn't allowed anyway. There is so much misinformation out there about e-cigs and some people tend to freak out about it.

We'll be heading into the sunset on the Golden in August and I'm so happy that Princess allows e-cigs in the staterooms. I've used mine for about 5 years now and love it. Hubby has allergies and my granddaughter has asthma. Back when I smoked regular cigs I had to be really careful around my sweet grandbaby because even the smell on my clothes could set her off. Now she just says grandma you smell like French Toast or Watermelon or Peaches or whatever flavor I happen to be vaping that day :):)
