  1. This little restaurant right outside the port area has great ice cream, chicken tacos, coffee and more at very reasonable prices.  It is right where Native Choice drops you off after a tour.

  2. When we stopped in Limon, Costa Rica, we toured with Syl Tours, tour 6-1-B. We were very happy with it. Our guide was Larry, who was informative and fun.

  3. We hired a guide at the National Park because the Syl tour guide was not going into the park. Our group voted to take an hour and a half to enjoy the park. We realized that we really did not know what we were looking at and had questions, so to get the full benefit, a friend went back to the check -in place and hired the park guide. He showed us animals we would not have seen, explained about the plant life around us and really made it interesting. We would have enjoyed the park even without a guide, but would not have gotten as much out of it.

There are picnic tables along the ocean in the park, but our group voted to eat at a local restaurant, which was delicious. Our Syl tour guide chose the restaurant and helped with our selections and payment. My lunch, which was beans, rice, marlin and a large lovely papaya drink came to about $13.00 .

  4. Yes, I took it and cannot recommend it highly enough. Our guide was Larry and he worked very hard to make it the great experience it was. When we went to the National Park we did hire a local guide at $15 pp, as Larry did not go in with us. Well worth it.
