Every comment has been interesting. I didn't take my first cruise untill 2009 but I am happy to learn that things are still here that were in the past. The trend seems to be better with time.

Hello,
Any tips on excursion to do in St. John NB. I am cruising there with Carnival on Thursday wondering if to book with Carnival Cruise or if there are options to book while in port for a better Price.
Thanks, Jean

It's also easiest to pre pay tips because that means any money you budget for trip can truly be spent on fun, shopping and extra tipping as needed.

It just depends on the services you will want to get. I usually wait till the specials thy have when in port. Overall what I love most is the ships with the Spa pass where I can use the sauna and steam pool unlimited. That is where I spend my money when Cruising. I was on the Ncl Gem and loved the Spa. I didn't buy any services but did buy Elemis skin care products and loved them.

Our shirt said Big Apple Cruisers because we all were from NYC. Needless to say everyone thought we were a travel agency. Out shirts had a apple with our dates and ports of call.
As for ideas maybe something like Fun Ship Cruising.

I was cruising on a Carnival ship when the fire happened on the Royal Caribbean ship out of Baltimore happened. I had posted on Facebook to remind my family and coworkers that I was safe and not on that ship. However, when I got back to work my coworkers did inform me that when they herd it on the news they were worried I was on that ship. Luckily someone said check her Facebook.

Same here I need to know my Cabin number because I prefer a higher deck. If cruising Carnival need deck 7 or higher.

I have always done interior becuase of sea sickness on 4 cruises. On my 5th I tried a balcony cabin and I loved it. However, for my upcomming 6th cruise I booked an interior. I think any time you are fortunate enough to go on vacation after much hard work of saving and planning the cruise itself is the reward. It all depends on type of vacation plan. For example I would not splurge on a balcony for my 4 day cruise to Canada but I may for a longer Alaska cruise.
