  1. I survived our cruise to Bermuda! I missed 2 weigh ins, so I was not expecting a 3.6 lb weight loss.  The leader asked me to speak to the group as to how I was able to lose weight on a cruise.  We never took the elevators and ate sensibly.  No carb overload and no hangovers!

Now I am getting ready for our April cruise.  I am currently down 67.6lbs, would like to hit 70 for Christmas and 75 for the cruise.  We shall see!

    Happy Holidays everyone.

  2. Ship - Grandeur of the Seas

    Deck - 2

    Stateroom # - 2054

    Stateroom Category – 2N

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – No!  All night long it sounded like a large blender going off and on.  Also an inconsistent banging, my guess it was a crew door on deck 1.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Any specific problems with this cabin? - The mattress was a rock.  Definitely needed a mattress topper.

Any other comments? - I would not stay on deck 2 again.  I much prefer the higher decks.  Stephen, our stateroom attendant, was top notch.

  3. Amazing journey! Congratulations. As with anything you do, you will be successful if you are determined to embrace the change. I have been a WW since 1988. I have gone from 178lbs-128lbs-238lbs! I am now committed to this being my lifestyle, not my diet. I like the meetings, because it is my time to hold myself accountable. I have currently lost 56 lbs (took 2 years), not sure how much I want to lose. But I do know that I am in charge of myself and I look at everyday as a challenge to be the best that I can be! 25 days to our cruise!

  4. OK I will attempt to do a mostly semi-live review from our upcoming Liberty cruise in #6414. We board next Sunday! We are Diamond Plus members but this is only our second suite ever. We are new to the suite life, but I think we are hooked!

I was excited to learn that the concierge, in this case MJ would be coming down to collect us and escort us to our cabin, can't wait to experience that! And that we can order our meals in to be served on the large table for 10 on our balcony. That includes lunch and dinner. This will truly be high cotton for us.

Nice score on the suite! Jack often asks when we can cruise on Liberty again. Nice to hear that MJ is onboard, he is so sweet. He was on the Vision when we sailed a few years ago. You're boarding today, and I am following along.

  5. We and several other cruisers have found them insufferable on this cruise. I pay for a suite to be up here in CK/SL and Barefoot Beach. If Pinnacles don’t pay for a suite they shouldn’t have these amenities. The cruise line should have something separate for them to discuss the amount of days they’ve spent at sea and so that young families don’t have to suffer their nasty gazes and so they can feel special. A few of them have been kind though but it is the exception and not the norm.

On the Vision a few years ago there were quite a few Pinnacles on board. We were in a suite and were invited to a lunch at Chops. I was day drinking and there was a very nice women beside me, we got to talking and she was a Pinnacle. She told me she hated to wear her pin because people treated her differently. I told her she earned it, she should wear it with pride (as I sloshed my Cosmo all over the table). Everytime I saw her after that she always had nice things to say. Now, in the MDR we sat with a Mother-Daughter D+ team, oh they were a tool. Rudest people I have ever encountered anywhere.

Anyway loving your review. Now I want to sail on the big ships!

  7. Weigh in this past Saturday down .2.. this was the week after losing 5.4lbs. I'm ok with it though. But since Saturday I have been off kilter. Hopped on my home scale this morning (something I avoid) and I am up 8lbs! ugh, Got to get back on track. Cruise is coming up fast.

    Welcome all the new comers!

  8. Ok time to grab our things and head off the ship. Today we are headed to Horseshoe Bay. We went back and forth between doing this or doing the aquarium and caves. Ultimately we decided to do Horseshoe because we kept hearing how amazing it was.

Thank you! I have been to Bermuda 4 times and have yet to make it to Horseshoe. We are sailing on the Grandeur in October, can't wait to see it for myself. Oh, and your review is awesome. Thanks for letting us tag along.
