4 on the fascination!
-
Id do the magic! looks like a much nicer ship
-
Hey fellow cruisers! just wondering if carnival still hosts their past guest party? and is it true that to be eligible you must have had to cruise on 2 of carnivals ships before hand?:)
-
I am not sure which cruise line/ship you are referring to.
On Princess, the texting facility only allows texts to other passengers on your ship. There is no charge. Without this, you would pay the normal charge for sending a text, usually 50 cents each
I am referring to the carnival lines

this is so depressing! Carnival chocolates were my life
-
How is it any different from just text messaging others on board?
-
I read a review on shipmate on the fascination and the person said that carnival doesn't leave chocolates on the towel animals anymore. Is that true?

You can find the answers here: https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1152/~/carnivals-wi-fi-service-and-hub-app
still didnt tell me if i have access to safari

I was wondering if the least expensive package allowed us to access internet? Or just social networking sites?
-
Mcarney, did the 5$ a day include Internet? I heard it only includes social networking sites

I cruised the fascination back in 2011 and I loved it. It definitely isn't as crowded as the newer and more updated ships on the fascination, so that was a plus. For lunch, you can always just order room service. They have good deli options, small sides, and desserts(: I'm going back there on the 20th!

I would like to know as well, I am departing on the 20th!
-
carnival: the lox is really good, but also the warm chocolate melting cake, the signature carnival dessert.
Princess: huge cookies at tea time
Disney: Mickey bars

I am a big foodie person, but I am also a very competitive athlete and need to keep my weight under control. How have you guys stopped yourselves from gaining a ton of weight on a cruise? I was planning on exercising an hour and a half a day, plus drinking a bottle of water right before every meal

I have cruised on the glory out of New York to Brunswick and another area I forgot what the name is called. Just remember 3 things: a seasick wristband (I don't get seasick easily, but traveling up north on a ship gave me headaches), poutine, and Tim Hortons.
This summer is going to be my first time on a balcony cabin so I don't have anything to say about that
Have fun!

What has been your favorite main dish, appetizer and dessert among all carnival cruises?
-
We sailed the fascination in 2011, and now my family is going again this summer. These past 4 years, what kind of changes did the fascination go through?
-
I am trying to find the best time to arrive at port with the shortest wait! Possibly 10:30?
-
So are you sailing on the Grandeur, or the Enchantment? I see you've posted the same question about both ships. Also, weren't you the one asking yesterday if you should book now or wait for a last minute deal on an Oasis class ship? Did you decide to book something else instead?
I am still deciding which ship to board, and yes I have come to a decision that I will book this week! thanks for your help on that!

What itinerary? Summit goes to the Caribbean in the winter time and
Bermuda in the summertime......her Caribbean itineraries are very
port intensive.....during the day? I would suggest seeing some of the
ports (if you haven't been there before). Or are you planning to stay
on the ship?
i am talking about onboard, not in the port

We like to feel busy instead of just tanning by the pool all morning and afternoon, and my family is on a very tight budget. So what are some free things I can do during the day on the summit for 17 year olds (my daughter)? For the carnival cruisers, I was on the Carnival Glory last year, and had a very boring time. What do you think I will feel about this cruise? I have not booked anything by the way.

I also heard that the Grandeur does not have the new RCCL updates (flowrider, ice rink, etc), so what are some free things I can do during the day on the Grandeur for 17 year olds (my daughter)? I was on carnival's Fascination and Glory in the last 4 years, loved the fascination and glory was okay. I liked the fascination one a little more probably because of the waterworks, even though the food was better on the Glory and Glory had a TV. Plus I thought there wasn't really much to do on the glory during the day other than go to the pool or play mini golf, and I like feeling busy. The late night shows were great, though. Compared to those ships, what should I expect from ships like the Grandeur or Enchantment in terms of the food and entertainment (both day and night)? Since compared to the bigger RCL ships, the smaller definitely don't have as much to do. Should my expectations be higher since I would be paying 2 times more than I did on the carnival, or should I just use that money to go on one of the newer Carnival ships?
