  1. Hi there 🙂 Just booking excursions for our Grand Cayman day in March and was wondering if anyone has done either of the snorkel excursions through NCL.  There is a "Reef and Wreck" and a "USS Kittiwake" snorkel excursion.  Just wondering if anyone knows the difference between these two excursions.  To me, they both look similar other than Reef and Wreck doesn't state which shipwreck it goes to.  Reef and Wreck looks to be a little shorter but also about $30 cheaper...just unsure which to book. Thanks!

  2. This is my first cruise having the specialty dining package and I just had a few questions. Looking at the menu for La Cucina, it seems to have a bunch of sections...would these be considered courses for the meal? Are we allowed to order multiple things? It kind of looks like different courses to me but I wasn’t 100% sure how that worked.

For Margaritaville, are we allowed to just order drinks from the bar there if we have the beverage package?? I can’t see us wanting to pay an up charge for pub fare there but they have a few drinks that look interesting. Last cruise it hadn’t changed over yet and I’m kind of sad the barter/salad place is gone!

For the Spa, do they tend to run different specials throughout the sailing? Debating doing massages on an at sea day.

  3. Hi there...I travelled on the Breakaway 2 years ago and am going again next March. I can't for the life of me remember timelines for pre-booking things. I'm currently getting ready for a Summer Disney trips so all of those timelines are getting mixed up in my head. How far out from my departure date can I a) purchase the Thermal Suite spa package and b) pre-book my shows and dining? I like to stay on top of things:)

  4. Hi everyone :)

We did the Breakaway last March and are planning on booking again for next March. I was just surfing around online and it looks like a few things have changed on the ship so I figured I'd ask on here.

    1. Are you still able to pre book the spa package for the week of your sailing? That was our absolute favourite part of our last cruise...we went twice a day. I want to make sure that we can still do this! And, does anyone know if the price is the same? I think we paid $199 USD for the week per person.

    2. Has Margaritaville opened on the boat? It's not showing on the NCL site but I've heard that it's there now. I know the food is a la carte, but can we drink there as part of our UBP?

I think that's it for now...thanks in advance to anyone who knows the answers :)

  5. Hi there,

Just wondering about photos on board. Are there photographers all over the place taking pics that they later try and sell you like most touristy places?? I see online that I can "Pre buy" photo packages...just wondering if this is worthwhile or if I should just wait and see what is taken when on board. Pre-buying I guess gets me an extra print and saves me some serious $ on the exchange rate. How much are individual pics to buy on board??

  6. Leaving in 2 weeks...yikes!!

Just had a couple of questions...

    1. At GSC, do you get priority tendering if you've already booked a Cabana?? I'm going to be really annoyed if I've spent almost $500 CDN on a cabana and can't get to it til the 3rd or 4th tender!

    2. Is there anything to do near the ship terminal at Port Canaveral?? I wasn't going to bother getting off the ship that day but now have a friend who is in Florida for 2 weeks wanting to come and meet us that day for a visit so her little girl can see what the ship looks like. I don't really want to be off the boat for too long or travel too far from it as we'd been looking forward to a day with less people on board.

    3. We've chosen the 9:30 check in time at the pier...does this actually MEAN anything?? Will it ensure that we have a lower boarding number or is it really just the luck of the draw?? It seems silly to have exact check in times to choose from if that doesn't really help us...I'm REALLY hoping for Vibe passes!

    4. Has anyone on here done Atlantis? We booked the one through NCL...is transportation included in that?

    Thanks everyone!!

  7. Just wondering, if I pre-purchase OBC before sailing (Norwegian's online exchange rate is WAY better than the bank right now!!), what happens if I have leftover at the end of the cruise?? I'd rather have too much than not enough but I don't want to lose it at the end if I don't spend it all.

  8. Good morning! :)

Does anyone happen to have a list/pic of the spa services and prices?? I already have Thermal Suite passes booked online but I'd like an idea of spa services offered and prices so that I can pre-purchase some OBC before we go away in March and want to make sure I have enough...and a general idea of what I'd like to treat myself to!

Also, past cruisers, do they offer spa specials on specific days??

  9. Can you for sure pre-book spa passes for the Breakaway?? On my NCL account, it says you can for the Epic but doesn't say BA. I'm not 90 days out yet but I REALLY want to pre-purchase my passes to save hassle once we get there. I'm HOPING that you for sure can on the BA??? Does anyone know for sure??:)

  10. For 2. You go to 4 stops. You get a shot at all 4. You'll eat lunch at one of them. I would suggest either Coconuts or Rastas. You'll have the longest time at Coconuts most likely and then at each spot you'll have time for a drink maybe two if you're a fast drinker.

  11. Sunset Beach is great snorkeling. And, really anywhere you can hop in along the coastline will be good. We snorkeled up by the condo areas (Puesta Del Sol) and that was amazing. The snorkeling is on at Money Bar....just not the best choice for food/drinks/beach in the area if that's what you're looking for.

  12. Yes I booked ahead of time. I'm a crazy planner and like to have as much set up and paid for ahead of time as I can. I used http://www.toursplaza.com/ they were awesome. I had lots of conversations with the owner via email before we left and was able to make up my own schedule and itinerary. I was able to pay my deposit with PayPal so it was totally safe. Once we got chatting with the driver, he gave us some tips for other places to visit. It was seriously the best way to get a taste of Cozumel with a private guide!!

  13. As you have to get over to the mainland, you might be pressed for time to do Xplor or Xcaret as they are both pretty full days to see everything. Xel Ha would be a better option as it is a little smaller than Xcaret but still absolutely beautiful! The snorkeling there is awesome and the food is great. If that's an option through your cruiseline, I'd go for that. Mr. Sanchos is great but definitely gets super busy if there are a lot of boats in that day. Hubby and I did the private cabana option there though and it was really nice.

  14. Honestly, if you're only there for the day, I wouldn't. We've gone there twice as we were doing snorkel trips with Tiger....as for the MB itself, food is pretty pricey and not great, drink prices were somewhat steep as well and service is hit and miss. The 'beach' area is pretty small and there are definitely better snorkel spots in the area if that's what you're looking for. If given the option for the day, that would definitely not be my choice to spend time at.
