  1. Thank you for your quick and detail response. This information will really be helpful during our stay in Hong Kong.

You mentioned the taxis only take HG dollars and no credit cards. Did you find you needed HG dollars for lots of things, street food, restaurants, admissions to sites, vendors or your Credit cards accepted? We have Thai Baht & Singapore Dollar but no HG dollars.

One more thing is you don't mind. We have Verizon cell service. Did you get an international package or were you able to use what you had.

Thank you again and I have so... enjoyed your review.

  2. We did not discuss insurance but this is what I found on their website:

"We currently do not accept insurance.  We are able to provide you with the CPT code and receipt for the COVID-19 test to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. All insurance companies vary, and you will need to reach out to them about your potential reimbursement. We are able to accept most major credit cards, debit cards and cash. In some locations we can also accept Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Flexible Spending accounts (FSAs). Check with your local ARCpoint Labs for payment options."

  3. Thank you, Aunt Tina ! We will be cruising out of Boston on Sept. 21, 2022 and needed somewhere to get a covid test. I call ARCpoint Labs located at 5-11 Drydock Ave., Suite 2020, Boston 02210 (617-340-2500) and spoke with a Very helpful lady (lab tech). The price is $65 pp and she said there would be No problem getting a test. We wanted to make an appointment and she advised we call back 1st of September. Thanks again, glad to have this issue resolved. Praying everything goes as planned.

OK, so there are two issues that need to be addressed. The first is the requirement for a negative COVID test prior within 2 days of embarkation for the Canada/NE leg. For the test, you have at least three possible options:

    - testing aboard, if RCI still offers this option;

    - getting off the ship in Baltimore and getting tested at a local facility; or

    - taking a test kit with you and doing a proctored test aboard once you are back in Baltimore. As you will be in port and in range of cell towers, you will be able to use your phone without having to get a ship's wifi package.

Completing the ArriveCAN app should be a two stage process for you. The app will not allow you to make a submission until you are within three days of your trip, but you can enter all of your personal data and proof of vaccinations in advance. So, at home, before heading off to Bermuda, download the app and enter everything except the travel details. Then, when you arrive in Baltimore from Bermuda, enter the trip details and submit your information.

Don't be intimidated by the app. I'd suggest that after first downloading it, make a trial run with the actual details of your trip but using an embarkation date within three days of your trial run (or it won't let you continue). Go through the whole process, but just don't make submit it. If you run into problems or have any questions, come back here and you'll get all the help you need.

I did the "make a trial run with the actual details of your trip but using an embarkation date within three days of your trial run (or it won't let you continue). Go through the whole process, but just don't make submit it." I did NOT submit it. Now the trial information is in the form, and I can't get it out. Will the trial information just disappear after the trial dates if I don't submit? Or do I need to call them? Thanks!!

  5. For our February SE Asia cruise we bought N95 mask, hand sanitizer, gloves and Clorox wipes. We can use all of them now. But also got $535.16 USD in Thai Baht money and $238.95 USD in Singapore money. Rate to exchange it back was Really bad so we are going to keep it for now and hope to use it in the future. We also have insurance but can also use it at a later date.

  6. We just returned from a 14 day SA cruise. After reading this thread we decided to buy two cases, in BA a case is 6 bottles, and bring them onboard. We put luggage stickers on them and gave the two cases along with our luggage to the porter. Later we were called and asked if we knew the policy for bring on more then two bottles of wine. We said yes we were to pay $15 per bottle for corkage fee. They said you get two bottles free so we will charge you for 10 bottles. We said fine. We had also brought two bottles in our carry on so we had 14 bottles. At each port we brought on more wine and (rum) and no one said a thing. It was a GREAT trip. Thanks again for all the experienced cruisers for letting us know about this process.

  7. Thanks for the replies. I am following the same procedure I have for Many years:

    Boards

    Princess

    Find Your Roll Call

    Select the Ship

    Select the Date (Month/Year)

Two results come up for Princess in Feb 2019:

Star Princess Roll Call - February 14, 2019

Star Princess Roll Call - February 29, 2019

I tried to select both and nothing comes up. As I stated, I have tried both IE and Chrome.

    Thanks again for your help,

    RenRan
