I was just looking over my documents for my upcoming cruise on the Equinox on March 25th.  It appears that Grand Cayman is back as a port of call.  Falmouth, Jamaica has been removed.  Am I correct?

No email official notification to change back to Cayman from NCL...looking at excursions, it still shows Falmouth.  The E-docs probably haven't been updated yet:

    Day 4 | Oranjestad, Aruba
    Day 5 | Willemstad, Curacao
    Day 7 | Falmouth, Jamaica
    Day 9 | Nassau, Bahamas
Day 10 | Fort Lauderdale, Florida

You're welcome Deb!  I'm sorry that I confused you.  I'm interested in your dailies for your NCL Getaway September 20, 2020 11day Greek Isles & Italy cruise, not an April 2020 cruise.  I know it's a long time in the future, but I'll remind you before you go.

    I really appreciate your help!!!

    Mary Jon

haha, I know, somehow I was crossed up in my brain and put down April....I meant Sept....but am going on ABC cruise on Celebrity Equinox April 2021...maybe that's what was confusing me!

    Hello,

Here is a link for a review in progress for the Getaway. It's only on day 2 right now but dailies are posted for both days.

I've been lurking on the roll call for your cruise because I'm booked on the same cruise in May 2021 and want some ideas for excursions.  You've done a great job finding excursions and sharing the ideas with the others.  I'm hoping to do the same for my cruise.

If possible, could you please post the dailies from your cruise upon your return?  Or send them to me directly to dudemp52 at comcast dot net.  I'd love to see them but understand if you forget about it by the time your cruise is over.

    Have a great time!

    Mary Jon

Thanks bunches Mary Jon.  Will share this informative blog/post on our Roll Call....she's really detail oriented and gives many good pointers for any Getaway sailing....I will try to remember to post the April 2020 dailies from the Med...maybe remind me if you can before I go

    Cheers

    Deb

  4. We haven't been yet, but booked this same room and two next to it. There are cabins directly below and above and the one restaurant it is near is Food Republic (sort of a sushi place) so we thought it would be pretty quiet. We usually book midship balcony, but did the small upgrade to this, as we will have an extended family group and want to be able to fit four vs. two people on the balcony, have a little extra room. We will ask about opening up balcony dividers, which would be wonderful. Official policy, though, is not to do this, so we can still get a small group out on one of these and visit if this doesn't happen. From what I can tell the balconies are not wider, but are deeper. We hang out on our balconies a lot, so made the choice to go for this. I have never felt on ships like people above look down on you. The only people you typically can see are those next door. The front of the ship will have a little more motion. We figure, though, that it is the Caribbean vs. a rough open ocean. Also, like you we booked the least aft -- the large balconies closest to the middle. For us, we thought the advantages of a slightly larger balcony are worth it as the regular ones are really pretty small and the deeper balcony will for us make it nicer.

How did you find 9734 ? Was it noisy? looks like a slightly larger balcony?

  5. We have room 9734 booked and I have some questions for anyone who has stayed in that room. This is a large balcony, but what are the pros and cons? Being at the front of the ship, any issues? How about the balcony is it worth it? Are there any obstructions or people looking down on you? I keep going back and forth about changing to a higher room mid ship. Help Please!

How did you find 9734 to be? Noise from below late at night? thanks
